Eu Food Security Programme For The Caribbean- Sanitary And Phytosanitary Sps Measures Action
The goal of the 11th European Development Fund (EDF) Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Measures Project is to increase compliance by CARIFORUM States with international SPS measures, standards and procedures to increase international and regional market access. To accomplish this objective, the project has been broken down into three Project Components, which are: 1. Strengthening of the SPS Regulatory Environment 2. SPS Compliance through Capacity Building 3. Strengthening the SPS Capacity in the Fisheries Sub-Sector Completion of these goals will help CARIFORUM members by increasing the capacity for exports, increasing trade and economic development, increasing compliance with international obligations, improving market access, and reducing food safety incidents.
