Nstu Model United Nations Association Nstumuna
If you want to make your dream in reality, you just need some soft attributes rather than high ambition. Passion, enthusiasm, belief, dedication, and other positive manners are such characteristics needed for this. Luckily we have got these attributes amongst us. In 2015, when we were in our first MUN, only four of us counted from the whole university. We have learnt how to act like a diplomat in the world where there is full of diplomacy. Learning from the others we feel the necessity to build a diplomat’s community in our own campus, in NSTU as there were nothing like before. For only four of us it became way too difficult to manage a community. Again the lucky charm worked on us as we found another three devoted people amongst us. With the number of seven people we have gradually started to fulfill our dreams into reality. It’s all about a dream of ours, a dream for NSTUMUNA. Basically the outgoing journey of NSTUMUNA has been started from 2013 with the participation of DUNMUN 2013 where there were five impassioned delegates of NSTU. Then 2014 was kind of nook year for NSTUMUNA as there were no participation from NSTU. Whatever it is, who knew that a mammoth news was waiting for us in the year of 2015. Yes, it was the year full of participation (CUMUN 2015, JMUN 2015, BiMUN 2015, and DUNMUN 2015) with enormous delegates from NSTU. Technically we may call it as the conception period of NSTUMUNA. After then it was like touch and go for us. We did manage lots of enthusiastic delegates in the year of 2016 and to promote the MUN in the campus more precisely NSTUMUNA arranged “Intra-NSTUMUN 2016” with 110 resplendent delegates of NSTU. At the meantime participation to other MUN conferences was even more deliberate. By this time NSTUMUNA has taken the initiative to host “NSTUMUN 2017”.

Society For International Affairs, Jahangirnagar University Sia-Ju
Society for International Affairs is a nonprofit organization based in Jahangirnagar University, established in 2019 with a view to working for the betterment of the students and the society. It's a platform offering opportunities for the students to nurture different skills to become future leaders and work for the people & environment to build a better and more empathic generation. We believe in diversifying our activities so that we wont confine ourselves in a specific agenda; that is why we focus our activities in three key wings: Model United Nations, Entrepreneurship Development and Social Welfare. Model United Nations is a simulation in an academic setting through which students try to solve world issues just like United Nations. We take sessions on MUN very frequently so that our members can practice enough. Our many members have achieved awards on national MUNs for their amazing performance and we are looking to expand our expertise on this field even more. Entrepreneurship development is necessary in a country like ours. So, the members of our club learn those essentials from now so that in future they can start their own start-up. Many of them have already started their own business. We organize programs on business topics where our members can create network among corporate guests, we provide knowledge and training on soft skills necessary for personal growth and we also help our members participate in different business competitions and bring glory. Social welfare is not only a skill developing sector to us but also it is our responsibility as a citizen of this country. We take different initiatives for the welfare of our environment and people in need of help. Our trash tag program, mask distribution, awareness programs are some of the example. We hope to make our university campus a better place and move on to national level activities.
