International Relations Research Student Association (IRRSA) is an independent non-governmental organization, founded in It is based on voluntary work. IRRSA gathers students in International Relations, European Policy and Economics and Political Science in the University of national and world economy (UNWE). IRRSA is a member of National Youth Forum and collective member of Bulgarian Diplomatic Society. IRRSA contributes to a better qualification and further professional realization for the „International relations“ and „European Policy and Economics“ students in the University of National and World Economy. The Association- investigates, analyzes and comments on the processes and the phenomena connected to the political, economic, cultural, scientific, sports and other relations between the subjects of International relations- contributes to the improvement of the qualifications and the further professional realization of its members- strives for the establishment between the students of different ages from our academic community in the UNWE and organizations in the country and abroad- furthers the free expression of the students and their views- strives to give its members the opportunity to take part in the different university, national, European and world programs- strives to raise the prestige of the UNWE and the academic community in our society, including making them more popular trough the mass media- represents the interests of the students from our academic society in front of the executive body of the UNWE and institutions, which directly influence their tuition- keeps in touch with the alumnus, whose leading department is the „International relations“ department in the UNWE, and to stimulate their involvement in the matters of the association and the students.

The European Society Club at the American University in Bulgaria organizes a Conference - Model European Union (MEU) once per year. One of the main goals of this conference is to simulate the decision-making procedures of the European Union. The team intends to provide the participants the opportunity to attend and participate in a professional-level event. nonsofia is a conceptual framework employing structural methodologies and aiming at establishing constructive dominance over local and international social contexts. as of 2012 the platform has been legally registered as the first non-profit entity to offer institutional support for non-objective art in bulgaria. making nonart aesthetics recognisable in bulgaria and bringing bulgaria onto the world map of non-objective art are among the association's primary goals. as part of its initiatives nonsofia launched orthogonal: international forum for non-objective art in 2012 since its debut, the forum has presented more than a hundred artefacts covering all artistic media along the last 70 years of non-objective art history. the works of 35 authors of 14 states have so far been exhibited. sofia, varna and burgas – 3 of bulgaria’s most major cities – have hosted a total of 6 shows. serving as a meeting point for institutions, artists and theorists of different nationalities and generations, orthogonal has already led to a series of international collaborations. its highlight, however, remain the orthogonal for children workshops, as they promise some steady hope for the future. in 2022, thanks to the considerable support of the national culture fund of the republic of bulgaria, nonsofia achieved one of its bravest goals, namely, the creation of its own physical space – an educational centre for geometric abstraction with a gallery, library and archive. and thanks to the heartfelt support of fondation gottfried honegger and mr gaudenz b. ruf we were able to extend our activities through 2023. we are located on 36 dondukov blvd in sofia and could be visited by invitation or appointment.

The Atlantic Club Of Bulgaria
The ACB is the first and only pro- Atlantic NGO, formed in the territory of the then Warsaw Pact, with the constitutional aim to promote the dissolution of the WP and to stimulate the enlargement of NATO and the EU within east Europe. ACB was the first member of the Atlantic Treaty Association, ATA, invited by a non-NATO member state (1992). ACB helped to form of number of similar organizations concerning with the Balkans, the Caucuses and in Afghanistan and Iraq. ACB succeeded in changing Bulgarian public opinion on NATO, which in 1990 was 15% in favor of NATO and 85% against. By the end of 2004 this had changed to 70% in favor, and 20% against. ACB took the leadership to establish a permanent Bulgarian presence in Antarctica, to join the Antarctic Treaty (1998) and to support Bulgarian activities in space. Serving as the principle foreign policy think-tank in Bulgaria, the ACB has hosted hundreds of speakers: acting Heads of States and Governments, statesmen and leaders of international organizations, as well as Nobel Prize winners.
