Response Innovation Lab (RIL) is a global network co-led by Civic, Danish Refugee Council, Oxfam, Save the Children International, and World Vision. RIL works in crisis and fragile contexts to strengthen humanitarian innovation ecosystems so that the demand for solutions meets the supply of available innovative products, services and approaches. RIL envisions a world where humanitarian responses are transformed through faster adoption of solutions that meet the specific needs of the affected communities and are scaled through a multitude of actors. RIL Response Labs and Affiliate Facilities invest in building up local teams comprised of extraordinary individuals who build bridges between the traditional humanitarian system and a broad range of actors such as innovation hubs, social enterprises, startups, innovative civil society organizations, social impact investment funds, government agencies and academic institutions. RIL offers all of these actors free information access, partnership brokerage and humanitarian innovation capacity building support as a free public service. Today, RIL operates the most extensive global network of humanitarian innovation platforms, with 8 facilities across three continents and looks forward to transform the humanitarian system's approach to innovation around the world.
