Conservation Of Arctic Flora And Fauna Caff
CAFF is the biodiversity working group of the Arctic Council and consists of National Representatives assigned by each of the eight Arctic Council Member States, representatives of Indigenous Peoples' organizations that are Permanent Participants to the Council, and Arctic Council observer countries and organizations. The CAFF Working Group operates by the Arctic Council Rules of Procedures. CAFF's mandate is to address the conservation of Arctic biodiversity, and to communicate its findings to the governments and residents of the Arctic, helping to promote practices which ensure the sustainability of the Arctic’s living resources. It does so through various monitoring, assessment and expert group activities. CAFF serves as a vehicle to cooperate on species and habitat management and utilization, to share information on management techniques and regulatory regimes, and to facilitate more knowledgeable decision-making. It provides a mechanism to develop common responses on issues of importance for the Arctic ecosystem such as development and economic pressures, conservation opportunities and political commitments. CAFF’s projects provide data for informed decision making to resolve challenges arising from trying to conserve the natural environment and permit regional growth. This work is based upon cooperation between all Arctic countries, indigenous organizations, international conventions and organizations, and is guided by the CAFF Strategic Plan for the Conservation of Arctic Biological Diversity and biennial Work Plans.

Arms Control Negotiation Academy Acona
The Arms Control Negotiation Academy (ACONA) is a 12-month, high-level professional development program for a competitively selected cohort of rising international security experts and practitioners. The ambitious training curriculum addresses critical historical case studies, technological know-how, and advanced negotiation skills in the realm of arms control. Participants earn a Certificate in Arms Control Negotiation and become part of ACONA’s network of next-generation arms control negotiators. Each year, ACONA recruits a new cohort of Fellows. Institute Of International Affairs At The University Of Iceland Iia
The Institute of International Affairs (IIA) is a research institute whose mission is to produce high-quality information on international relations in areas of particular relevance to Icelandic foreign policy. The role of IIA is to provide education, promote research, and carry out service projects in the field of international relations. We aspire to serve academic and professional needs and stimulate a general discussion on subjects relating to international affairs. To this end, the institute plans and researches various subjects and hosts conferences, seminars, and lectures concerning international affairs. The Institute of International Affairs was established in 1990 and is housed within the University of Iceland's School of Social Sciences. There are three research centres under the auspices of the Institute of International Affairs: The Centre for Small State Studies The Centre for Arctic Studies (CAS) and Höfði Reykjavík Peace Centre. Over one hundred scholars with various types of expertise participate in the IIA, CAS, and Höfði Reykjavík Peace Centre. The institutes have ties to several foreign research bodies. The IIA is a forum for dialogue between the academic community, the private sector, and public service in international relations. It supports leaders who are prepared to serve and inspire others with courage, conviction and compassion, holding the vision that they can be instrumental in humanizing our systems and returning a ‘spirit of humanity’ to our world. In particular, the Forum nurtures emerging leaders and encourages intergenerational listening, dialogue and learning.
