Article 1 – Institute for Global Politics and Law is a think tank that works in the field of international law and international relations with a focus on Macedonia and the Balkan region. Our mission is to contribute to the fulfillment of the objectives set up in the UN Charter under Article 1. Our strategic objectives are:(i) influencing institutions so that they understand better, accept and enforce international law (ii) stimulating a public debate in the field of international relations and international demanding a more transparent and inclusive decision making processes in determining and conducting foreign policy;(iv) promoting new and creative approaches in overcoming challenges with global implications. In achieving our objectives, we practice methods such as research and analysis, publishing policy papers and policy briefs, organizing public events, conferences, trainings, seminars, simulations etc.

What began as a spark of inspiration in May 2020 has evolved into a global call to action, igniting a movement to ensure that the benefits derived from the exploration and use of outer space are truly accessible to all. From Bitola (Macedonia), five passionate individuals launched the International COSMIC MOVEMENT (ICM)/ Меѓународно КОСМИЧКО ДВИЖЕЊЕ (МКД), inspired by the pioneering work in Macedonian Space Law. Our mission is to develop a transformative legal framework that upholds the Benefit Principle of International Space Law, ensuring the equitable sharing of the benefits derived from the exploration and use of outer space for all peoples, nations, states, and individuals.
