Nzus Council
Established in 2001, we are a non-partisan, non-government organisation focused on advancing New Zealand’s interests in a strong bilateral relationship with the USA. We are funded by business, academia, civil society, and government to provide platforms to advance opportunities for New Zealanders, communicate the importance of the relationship, and build supportive constituencies for New Zealand in the US. At the foundation of the relationship between our countries is an enduring set of common interests and shared values. As an organisation we have played a critical role in re-establishing connections, strengthening the relationship across multiple fronts, and advocating tighter economic and trade integration. We remain strong advocates for open and competitive markets, including ongoing advocacy for a free trade agreement, and protection of the rules-based global trading system. Building off this legacy the Council has adopted a broader policy programme that recognises the diverse range of interests we share with the US. In addition to trade, today we have work programmes focused on the future of data, food, education, security and defence, and the Pacific.

Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum
The ANZLF brings business and government together to help Australia and New Zealand prosper. The Forum enables discussion between senior business and government leaders about ways to improve business and trade between Australia and New Zealand. The ANZLF is the only high-level and broad-based bilateral Australia-New Zealand business forum that engages closely with governments on both sides of the Tasman. The annual centrepiece for the ANZLF is a trans-Tasman conference attended by senior business and government leaders to discuss key challenges and opportunities, and establish defined outcomes to be advocated for by invited attendees. Along with the annual conference, across the year the ANZLF manages business-led sector groups focused on driving change across five key areas; Innovation, Tourism, Health Technology, Infrastructure, and Indigenous Business, while working closely with the Australian and New Zealand governments to influence the Single Economic Market (SEM) Agenda. At the 2019 forum we launched the ANZLF Emerging Leaders programme in partnership with the Global Shaper Hubs of New Zealand and Australia. The selected group of 30 impressive emerging leaders brought energy and enthusiasm to the forum and will continue to provide their ideas into our five Sector Groups, as well as at future forums. The ANZLF is steered by the Australian and New Zealand Co-Chairs, Pip Marlow and Greg Lowe. The Co-Chairs are supported by the ANZLF Policy Group which is comprised of business leaders on both sides of the Tasman who oversee the Sector Groups and seek other ways to influence the SEM agenda, for example by making submissions as appropriate to both Governments. The ANZLF operations are led by the Australian and New Zealand Directors, Ranj Samrai and Fiona Cooper, and is supported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, along with leading Australian and New Zealand businesses.
