Un Human Rights - Asia
The OHCHR Regional Office for South-East Asia addresses the regional dimensions of human rights issues, including specific thematic issues; engages national actors in countries within the region following an assessment of needs and in accordance with OHCHR's regional strategies; and provides support to UN Country Teams in the region. We play a catalytic role with a range of partners at regional and national levels, including governments, ASEAN, civil society and UN agencies. We advocate for the increased engagement of Member States and civil society organizations (CSOs) with the international human rights system, the increased ratification of international human rights instruments, and follow-up to treaty body, special procedures and UPR recommendations. The Office acts as a resource of expert advice on human rights for partners in the United Nations, governments and CSOs and it strives to bring international human rights standards and mechanisms as well as a human rights-based approach to discussions on political, social, humanitarian, economic and development issues. Our office covers Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. It also supports OHCHR’s work elsewhere in the region.

The Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and Southeast Asia (CCOP) is an intergovernmental organization whose mission is to facilitate and coordinate the implementation of applied geoscience programmes in East and Southeast Asia in order to contribute to economic development and the improvement of the quality of life in the region. To this end, CCOP promotes capacity building, technology transfer, exchange of information and institutional linkages for sustainable resource development, management of geo-information, geo-hazard mitigation and protection of the environment. CCOP has thirteen member countries: Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Lao, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam. It is supported by fifteen cooperating countries namely Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russian Federation, Sweden, United Kingdom and United States of America.

Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System Rimes
The Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System for Africa and Asia (RIMES) is an international and intergovernmental institution, owned and managed by its Member States, for the generation and application of early warning information. RIMES evolved from the efforts of countries in Africa and Asia, in the aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, to establish a regional early warning system within a multi-hazard framework for the generation and communication of early warning information, and capacity building for preparedness and response to trans-boundary hazards. RIMES was established on 30 April 2009, and was registered with the United Nations on 1 July 2009. RIMES operates from its regional early warning center located at the campus of the Asian Institute of Technology in Pathumthani, Thailand.

Lift International
LIFT International works to strengthen justice systems, support survivors and hold offenders accountable for crimes of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. LIFT International partners with government agencies, law enforcement, international and grassroots organizations to investigate cases of human trafficking and sexual exploitation to identify victims and perpetrators. We provide access to justice for victims of trafficking by connecting them to resources that help them become survivors. We advocate for their needs from the courtroom to their return or repatriation home. We believe in prevention through prosecution. Strengthened justice systems will disrupt organized crime and secure fair sentences for the perpetrators of trafficking.

The three founding partners are: Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. The Sathirakoses Nagapradipa Foundation stablished in Thailand by Sulak Sivaraksa in 1968. And the Centre for Bhutan & GNH Studies, Thimphu, Bhutan. A network of Advisors from Bhutan, Thailand and other parts of the world supports the School for Wellbeing Studies and Research.

Thammasat University Model United Nations (TUMUN) was founded in 2011 by a group of Thammasat University students who have interests in the work of the United Nations. The objective of our organization is to empower youth leadership by sending out youth delegate to participate ‘Model United Nations’ conferences held around the globe. Since our establishment, we have sent youth delegates from Thammasat University students to a number of Model United Nations conferences such as Harvard National Model United Nations, World Model United Nations, Cambridge University International Model United Nations and so forth. By participating, our delegates would be engage in public discussion and debate, as well as mutually problem solving. Participants would have a chance to develop critical thinking, collaboration and leadership and cultural exchange. TUMUN sees Model United Nations as a good way to empower Thai youths to develop their potentials to cope with global challenges. Hence, TUMUN would like to hold Thammasat University First National Model United Nations conference.
