Die Hochschulbibliothek der ZHAW bietet ein vielfältiges Medien- und Lernangebot an den Standorten Winterthur, Zürich und Wädenswil. Sie unterstützt bei Fragen zu Recherche, Medienbeschaffung und Informationskompetenz. Neben einer breiten Auswahl an Ressourcen stehen in der Bibliothek moderne Arbeitsplätze zur Verfügung. Diese sind sowohl für Gruppenarbeiten als auch für individuelles Lernen geeignet und bieten die passenden Räumlichkeiten für verschiedene Bedürfnisse. Durch die ZHAW digitalcollection, das digitale Repositorium der ZHAW, sind Eigenpublikationen wie Working Papers und Abschlussarbeiten sowie Zweitveröffentlichungen im Rahmen des Green Open Access zugänglich. Die Förderung von Open Educational Resources (OER), Open Access und Open Science wird aktiv vorangetrieben. Mitglieder der ZHAW profitieren von umfassender Unterstützung und dem aktiven Austausch innerhalb der Community.

The Chemistry | Biology | Pharmacy Information Center is a joint facility of both the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences (D-CHAB) and the Department of Biology (D-BIOL). It supports: • Bachelor's and Master's Students • doctoral students and postdocs • senior scientists and professors from those two departments as well as from the Department of Materials (D-MATL) regarding all questions on scientific information as well as information and knowledge management. The Information Center acts as a scientific information skill center and supports the diverse teaching and research environment of ETH Zurich. Teaching is one of our most important tasks. The Information Center has developed a curriculum that ensures that students acquire the necessary skills in information management and retrieval as part of their education in chemistry, life sciences and materials science. This includes the ability to judge the relevance of scientific information as well as the development of knowledge management expertise.

Zentralbibliothek Zürich
As a university library the Zentralbibliothek collects academic literature on all the subjects taught at the University of Zurich, with a special focus on the liberal arts and social sciences. As the Turicensia guardian it collects all publications published by Zurich-based publishing houses, all works of Zurich-based authors and all literature on Zurich itself. As city and cantonal library the ZB also offers a wide selection of popular literature – from travel guides and self-help books to biographies, crime thrillers, DVDs and sound recordings. The ZB's five Special Collections – Graphics, Manuscripts, Maps, Music and Old Prints – boast a wealth of historical and current archives, bequests, image and sound documents. As the oldest cultural institution in Zurich, the Zentralbibliothek organises regular exhibitions to present its collections and the topics on which they focus to a broader public. It offers guided tours and training courses to teach key information skills to students at all Zurich universities, high school students and the wider public. The ZB is also very involved in training and continuing education in the library sciences, and offers a masters degree in library and information sciences at the University of Zurich.

La Tatouthèque
Un nouveau concept de bibliothèque d’objets est en train de voir le jour à Yverdon-les-Bains. La Tatouthèque est un projet social et écologique porté par le SemoNord, institution sociale qui œuvre à l’insertion professionnelle de la jeunesse. Mais qu’est-ce qu’une bibliothèque d’objet? Une bibliothèque d’objets propose des articles dont l’usage est peu courant et passablement couteux. Mais alors… que trouvera-t-on à la Tatouthèque? Potentiellement, tout objet dont vous pourriez avoir besoin pourrait se trouver dans notre assortiment. Notre bibliothèque proposera une grande variété d’articles, selon la demande des habitants de notre région. La Tatouthèque récupère des objets auprès de particuliers et d’entreprises afin de leur offrir une deuxième vie. Une bibliothèque d’objets fonctionne sur le principe du partage. Plusieurs personnes peuvent ainsi utiliser un même objet. Ce concept se veut donc plus écologique que l’achat d’un objet individuel, et plus économique pour les utilisateurs. Portée par le SemoNord, la Tatouthèque est gérée par les participants de la mesure d’insertion socioprofessionnelle de transition (MIS-T) “Transfo” et leurs encadrants. Nos participants, âgés de 15 à 25 ans peuvent ainsi développer de nouvelles compétences telles que la relation client, la gestion d’un commerce ainsi que des compétences administratives ou manuelles.

Stiftung Zur Förderung Des Schweizerischen Wirtschaftsarchivs Swa
Das SWA, eine Institution der Universität Basel, ist seit 1910 nationales Kompetenzzentrum für historische und aktuelle Wirtschaftsquellen (Firmen, Verbände, Familien, Einzelpersonen). Der Bestand umfasst über 12 Laufkilometer bzw. rund 3 Mio. digital erfasste Dokumente. Darunter befinden sich rund 1 Mio. Scans der Zeitungsausschnittssammlung der Schweizer Wirtschaft ab 1850, ein Bestand von 2.5 Mio. Dokumenten, welche bis 2012 von Hand ausgeschnitten sowie auf A4-Blätter geklebt und nun vollständig digitalisiert werden. Die Stiftung ist Schnittstelle zwischen SWA und Wirtschaft, sie hilft dem SWA bei der Beschaffung von finanziellen Mitteln und neuen Beständen. Zudem vergibt sie jährlich einen "Forschungspreis SWA".

Créée en 1991, la Bibliothèque régionale d'Avry (BRA) propose à ses usager·ère·s plus de documents. Chacun·e trouvera de quoi assouvir son appétit de lecture et sa curiosité. Depuis 2007, la bibliothèque se situe dans le CO de Sarine-Ouest et profite d'un magnifique et vaste espace pour mettre en valeur ses collections et organiser de nombreux événements culturels. Quelques tables permettent l'étude ou le travail alors que poufs, fauteuils et gradins invitent plutôt à la détente pour des moments de lecture plaisir, tout comme le "coin thé/café".

La bibliothèque propose aujourd’hui à ses membres un accès direct à plus de volumes dont plus de 7'800 ouvrages en anglais. Elle demeure aujourd’hui l’une des plus importantes de Genève.
