Veria Central Public Library
VERIA CENTRAL PUBLIC LIBRARY is a Legal Entity under Public Law and is subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. It was founded in 1952 and offers its services to the residents of the city of Veria, the Regional Unit of Imathia and Central Macedonia. In August 2010, was awarded with "Access to Learning 2010" award by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In December 2012, was awarded a prize of the "Academy of Athens" for her educational work.

Future Library
Future Library aims to transform Greek public libraries into unique centers of creativity, innovation and learning. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation is Future Library’s exclusive donor. The Foundation’s grant aims at developing a sustainable network of public and municipal libraries across Greece, which will further be linked to the National Library of Greece, when this moves to its new premises, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center The ultimate goal of this development is to reinforce the significance of libraries, as knowledge, creativity, and interaction-promoting institution in people’s minds. The Future Library, a non-profit organization, was established in Veria in 2011. It spun out of the Veria Central Public Library recipient of the 2010 Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation “Access to Learning” Award (http://bit.ly/1dlQbjg). Leirion Alternative Library - Art Place
Τι κάνουμε Το Λείριον σε συνεργασία με βιβλιοπωλεία της περιοχής, συγγραφείς και εκδότες οργανώνει σε μηνιαία βάση παρουσιάσεις βιβλίων, αφηγήσεις παραμυθιών, συναντήσεις με συγγραφείς, ομιλίες και όχι μόνο. Στα καλλιτεχνικά δρώμενα του χώρου περιλαμβάνονται το εργαστήριο πηλού, ζωγραφικής, θεατρικού παιχνιδιού, καθώς και εκθέσεις, μαθήματα ραδιοφώνου, μουσικές εκδηλώσεις. Στα εκπαιδευτικά δρώμενα περιλαμβάνονται το εργαστήρι ρομποτικής, αρχαίων ελληνικών, ρητορικής, MUN, σχολικής μελέτης, μαθηματικής σκέψης, φιλοσοφίας (μαιευτική μέθοδος του Σωκράτη για παιδιά 4 έως 8 ετών), καθώς και εκπαίδευση αποτελεσματικού γονέα. Η Φιλοσοφία μας Η φιλοσοφία μας είναι όλα τα παιδιά που φοιτούν σε δημόσια σχολεία και τα παιδιά που βρίσκονται στο περιθώριο να μπορούν να παρακολουθήσουν εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα υψηλού επιπέδου που συνήθως εφαρμόζονται μόνο σε ιδιωτικά ιδρύματα εκπαίδευσης, και να έρθουν σε επαφή με το βιβλίο μέσω πρωτοποριακών και εναλλακτικών δράσεων. Ο χώρος είναι ευαισθητοποιημένος σε κοινωνικά προβλήματα όπως τα ασυνόδευτα παιδιά προσφύγων, κακοποιημένες γυναίκες, εγκαταλελειμμένα παιδιά σε νοσοκομεία και μαιευτήρια. Η ιδιαιτερότητα του Λείριον Η ιδιαιτερότητα της επιχείρησης είναι ο τρόπος που λειτουργεί με τους επαγγελματίες με τους οποίους συνεργάζεται. Στο χώρο μας δεν υπάρχουν υπάλληλοι. Όλα τα προγράμματα τα υλοποιούν συνεργάτες οι οποίοι έχουν την ελευθερία να επιλέγουν τον τρόπο εφαρμογής κάθε ιδέας και οι αποφάσεις παίρνονται από κοινού με την διοίκηση. Αυτό που κάνει το Λείριον να ξεχωρίζει είναι η εμπιστοσύνη που δείχνει σε νέα παιδιά κυρίως φοιτητές οι οποίοι προσλαμβάνονται με τα ίδια δικαιώματα ενός εργαζομένου ενήλικα και έχουν την ελευθερία να υλοποιούν τα προγράμματα με τον τρόπο που οι ίδιοι επιλέγουν. Στα εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα εφαρμόζεται συχνά η διδασκαλία σε ομάδες πολλών ταχυτήτων, διαφορετικές ηλικίες σε μια ομάδα, και η διδασκαλία σε εξωτερικό χώρο.

National Library Of Greece
The National Library of Greece (NLG) is the par excellence depository and trustee for Greece’s cultural heritage. Its mission is to perpetually trace, collect, organise, document, preserve and safeguard scientific and cultural documents, created in Greece or internationally and related to Hellenism in its diachronic evolution and perception by other cultures. NLG’s goal is to ensure open and equal access to any interested party, driven by freedom of knowledge, information and research. The National Library of Greece acts as a deposit library for all printed and electronic publications in Greece. It also compiles and publishes the National Bibliography in its role as the Cataloguing and Bibliographic Center of the country. Additionally, NLG enhances collaboration among libraries in Greece and coordinates the Greek Libraries Network. Furthermore, it promotes professional expertise and education in various library-related fields. Lastly, it preserves Greek cultural heritage in physical and electronic form and fosters research in Greek civilization and culture.

Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation
The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, a vibrant and active cultural hub, is situated in the heart of Piraeus that house its many and diverse activities. The Scope of the Foundation is to promote Greek arts and letters as well as maritime tradition and history. The Foundation’s Historical Library boasts more than volumes –book and archival collections of significant scholars and personalities of Letters and Culture–, accessible via its online catalogue and on site. Its old and rare material, incunabula and early printed books, testify to the uniqueness of its collections. The Lending Library collects more than books, covering all areas of knowledge is already popular within the local community. The interest in naval history and research is evident through initiatives such as the restoration of stone lighthouses and in supporting the “Return to Antikythera” project, the underwater archaeological research in the famous 1st century AD shipwreck. Municipal Library Of Orestiada
Η Δημοτική Βιβλιοθήκη λειτουργεί από το 1962, ενώ από το 1997 ανήκει στη ΔΗ.Κ.Ε.Π.Α.Ο. Ένας κρυμμένος θησαυρός στην καρδιά της Ορεστιάδας. Με πάνω από τίτλους και πάνω μέλη. Η Βιβλιοθήκη έχει σαν στόχο τη διάθεση της ανάγνωσης, την αισθητική και κοινωνική διαπαιδαγώγηση, την ψυχαγωγία και το κέντρισμα της φαντασίας καθώς και την ανάπτυξη του ερευνητικού και κριτικού πνεύματος. Από το 2006 στο χώρο της βιβλιοθήκης λειτουργεί και το Δ.Κ.Π. αποτελούμενο από 3 H/Y με δυνατότητα πλοήγησης στο Internet, αναζήτησης πληροφοριών σε ηλεκτρονικές βάσεις δεδομένων, προσβάσεις στον κατάλογο της βιβλιοθήκης από τους χρήστες της, με σκοπό της εξοικειώσεις τους με την βιβλιοθήκη, τις νέες τεχνολογίες και την πρόσβαση στις υπηρεσίες πληροφόρησης."

Levadia Central Public Library
Η Δημόσια Κεντρική Βιβλιοθήκη Λεβαδείας ιδρύθηκε τον Ιούλιο του 1954 ως Δημοτική. Την 1η Φεβρουαρίου 1956 έγινε Δημόσια, ενώ στις 13 Αυγούστου 1980 διευρύνθηκε και έγινε Κεντρική, εντάσσοντας στη δύναμή της Κινητή Μονάδα. Είναι Νομικό Πρόσωπο Δημοσίου Δικαίου και υπάγεται κατ’ ευθείαν στο Υπουργείο Εθνικής Παιδείας και Θρησκευμάτων, τη Διεύθυνση Βιβλιοθηκών και Αρχείων, και διοικείται από Δ/ντή, 5/μελές Εφορευτικό Συμβούλιο.

Kalambaka Library - Kdk
Kalambaka Educational, Literary and Cultural Civil Not for Profit Company (KDK) renovated and refurbished the Municipal Library, located in the city center. The renovation project started in Summer 2013 and the new Library opened in Summer 2015. Through an agreement with the Municipality, KDK will manage and operate the new Library for a minimum of 5 and up to a maximum of 15 years, when the Library will revert to the management of the Municipality. The new Library is a cultural anchor in the city, with a special focus on the needs of children and teens. There are 45 schools in the municipality of Kalambaka of which 14 are located in Kalambaka town. KDK’s goal, based on a comprehensive business plan, is for the Library to become a hub of creativity and opportunity, preparing the next generation of Kalambakiotes, as well as the population of the surrounding area, to thrive in the global future. The premises and resources of the Library are freely accessible to the public. The Library is located at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron Mousikes) and can be reached from the entrances of the building on Vas. Sofias Avenue or on Kokkali St. The Concert Hall is situated at the corner of Vas. Sofias Avenue and Kokkali St. You can get here by public transport from any part of Athens: • By metro, it’s just two minutes from the Concert Hall Metro Station to the door of the Concert Hall • By bus, buses Ε14, Α5 and 550 stop right in front of the Concert Hall • By electrically driven bus, buses 10 and 3 stop right in front of the Concert Hall Visitors to Athens can easily find the Concert Hall: • From the airport you can take bus Χ95, or a 35 minute ride on the Metro will bring you to the Concert Hall • From the railway station, it’s just 30 minutes to the Concert Hall Metro station • From Piraeus it’s just a few minutes ride on the Metro. If you come by car you can park in the Concert Hall’s new three-level parking facility, which has spaces for 750 cars. Αποθετηριο Δημοκριτειου Πανεπιστημιου Θρακησ
To Ιδρυματικό Αποθετήριο (ΙΑ) του Δημοκρίτειου Πανεπιστημίου Θράκης ( Δ.Π.Θ.) το οποίο υλοποιείται με συγχρηματοδότηση της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης και του Ελληνικού Κράτους, είναι η υποδομή του Δ.Π.Θ. για τη συγκέντρωση, οργάνωση, διαχείριση, διατήρηση και προβολή της πνευματικής παραγωγής του ιδρύματος. Το υλικό που περιέχει είναι οργανωμένο σε συλλογές και μέχρι σήμερα αποτελείται από τη γκρίζα βιβλιογραφία, δηλαδή τις πτυχιακές/διπλωματικές εργασίες, μεταπτυχιακές εργασίες και διδακτορικές διατριβές που έχουν εκπονηθεί στα τμήματα του Δ.Π.Θ, τη συλλογή περιοδικών και τη συλλογή σπάνιων βιβλίων. Σκοπός του είναι να διαφυλάσσει και να κάνει προσιτό όλο το πνευματικό και ερευνητικό έργο του ιδρύματος, συμβάλλοντας στη διάδοση της γνώσης. Η πρόσβαση στο υλικό υπόκειται στην πολιτική πρόσβασης του ιδρύματος και σε κάθε περίπτωση το υλικό χρησιμοποιείται για εκπαιδευτικούς και πάντως μη εμπορικούς, σκοπούς.
