Friends Of The Boca Raton Public Library, Inc
The Friends is a non-profit 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports, enhances and advocates for the value of the Boca Raton Public Library as a vital center of knowledge for our diverse and dynamic community. Since its incorporation in 1990, the Friends of the Boca Raton Public Library have striven to assist the library to broaden and enrich library-based services. In its first year, the Friends raised for the library; the Friends average donation to the library now is to per year. In addition, in 2011 the Friends bequeathed a gift for the building of the new downtown library. In 2019, the Friends funded to purchase the library's bookmobile for community outreach services.

The Sheridan Libraries and University Museums support research and discovery at Johns Hopkins University. The Sheridan Libraries encompass the Milton S. Eisenhower Library, Brody Learning Commons, Albert D. Hutzler Reading Room, George Peabody Library, John Work Garrett Library, and Irene and Richard Frary Library. The University Museums encompass Homewood Museum and Evergreen Museum & Library. Our collections include digital and audio/visual material as well as cultural and print materials such a books, manuscripts, maps, photographs, and fine and decorative art. The mission of the Sheridan Libraries and University Museums is to make our services, resources, and staff expertise accessible to the entire Hopkins community. We also aim to make our collections and our institutional knowledge accessible to and reflective of the broader public.

Libros Schmibros Lending Library
Libros Schmibros is a Boyle Heights-based lending library that puts low-or no-cost books into all hands, native and immigrant, Eastside and West. Since our opening in 2010, we've welcomed patrons and put books into circulation in Boyle Heights and beyond. Mission Statement: Libros Schmibros champions the pleasures of literature and its power to change lives. Previous locations, etc. Libros Schmibros moved to the Mariachi Plaza location in February 2012, due in part to the proximity of the Metro Gold Line. Previously located at E 1st Street LA, CA 90033 (until 2012), with a Hammer Public Engagement Fellowship and installation "Libros Schmibros at the Hammer" at Hammer Museum, 10899 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angels, CA 90024 from August-November 2011. The Hammer installation and the Boyle Heights lending libraries were open concurrently from August to November 2011.
