Assignments such as: bringing a vessel to the dry docking, having the necessary experience to oversee all the various upgrades, and taking into account re-classing of the vessel. In some cases, assembling an entire crew, covering the many different skills needed to reactivate a vessel, after a longer period in layup condition getting all equipment, documents, etc. All adding up to a successful sea trial. Trust, knowledge, and flexibility are the principles on which Faroe Maritime Services is built. We are based in the Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic and Arctic regions. From the Faroes, we do have daily flight connections to most European international airports. Faroe Maritime Technic
FMT - Faroe Maritime Technic FMT provides a total solution for treating oily sludge and contaminated bilge water and has developed two unique solutions. Oil Conveyor, OC 2. Sludge Dewatering Evaporator, SDE The solutions are developed for the marine industry, but the same need is on power plants on shore. OIL CONVEYOR treats the contaminated bilge water by skimming the oil from the surface. The skimmed oil is then pumped into a special designed settling tube for final treatment. Onboard any ship OC helps the Oily Water Separator, OWS to function without problems, because OC cleans the bilge water before it is pumped through the OWS. On shore plants OC precleans the waste water, so the filter consumption is kept to an acceptable level. SLUDGE DEWATERING EVAPORATOR treats the oily sludge by evaporating the water out of the oily sludge and turning the rest into waste oil. On average the water content of oily sludge generated from purifiers is more than 60%. Hence here is a possibility of reducing the sludge volume by 60% or more. Port Of Runavík
The Port of Runavík is situated in the heart of Faroe Islands in the southern part of the island Eysturoy. Eysturoy is connected with subsea tunnels to Norðuroyggjar and Streymoy. The Port of Runavík is located by Skálafjørður, the longest fiord in the Faroe Islands, and the port is well known as being particularly safe and well protected. The port has all modern facilities with a total quayside of 2 km. The Port of Runavík includes 14 harbours in the villages Runavík, Saltangará, Glyvrar, Søldarfjørður, Skála, Skálafjørður, Funningsfjørður, Oyndarfjørður, Æðuvík, Rituvík, Lamba, Skipanes, Funningur and Elduvík. With the extension of the main quayside, King's Harbour, the port is able to welcome ships up to 321 m long. The Port also offers exclusive tender options for expedition ships to the small villages Elduvík and Funningur in the Northern part of Eysturoy. Maximum 3 ships per year. The port's business structure centres on five core areas: Cruise, fishing, cargo, supply base and maritime service. The port is open 24/7 and all service is available around the clock.
