Island Dreams Grenada
Island Dreams Inc is a Grenadian Company, registered in It is owner-operated by Mark and Anita Sutton and dedicated specifically to Yacht Management and Maintenance. Mark and Anita crossed the Atlantic in their own boat 12 years ago. After 2 years running a charter yacht based in the Windward Islands, the time came to move ashore, and they opted for Grenada as the most interesting, welcoming and yacht-friendly Caribbean island they had visited. They built a home on a green hillside surrounded by?bush? and their 2 young sons are at school in Grenada. Mark is an RYA Ocean Yachtmaster, and has been sailing since childhood. From sailing with his family in Portland Harbour in Weymouth, he moved on to deliveries and the International Boatbuilding Training College in Lowestoft. After meeting Mark in the Canary Islands aboard the tall ship STS Lord Nelson run by the Jubilee Sailing Trust, Anita came to sailing rather later in life, escaping from an office-bound and landlocked previous existence. She is currently President of the Marine and Yachting Association of Grenada. Chris Alexis has been with Island Dreams since 2007. He comes from a seafaring family in Carriacou, and has spent his life in and around boats. Serrant Edwards completed a seamanship course with the Grenada Coastguard and decided he wanted to work with boats. He has very quickly become indispensable to us, and at the same time noted for his fine range of sunglasses!
