Established in 1979, National Quarries Company Limited (NQCL) is a state-owned company set up by the Government of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago (GORTT) with the key objective of supplying aggregates to other state enterprises and the construction sector at the lowest possible economic price to facilitate major development projects. The company has two operations: a 2,040-acre sand and gravel quarry at Guaico, Sangre Grande, and the 118-acre, Verdant Vale blue limestone quarry in Blanchisseuse 2. Since 1979, National Quarries has contributed to the infrastructural development of Trinidad and Tobago, as a leader in the construction industry. Today, we are the nation’s leading producer of f quality and certified aggregates.
