Stiftelsen Musik I Dalarna
Musik i Dalarnas mål är att ge länets invånare musikupplevelser genom att erbjuda konserter, musikteater och andra musikarrangemang. Vi ska stimulera det lokala musiklivet och samarbeta med kultursektorn, föreningsliv, näringsliv och turism för att tillsammans bygga ett Dalarna med ett kulturklimat som lyser vida omkring. Musik i Dalarna omfattar verksamheterna Dalasinfoniettan, Dalapop, Unga Musik i Dalarna, Imagine Dalarna och Imagine Sweden. Musik i Dalarna är även huvudman för den eftergymnasiala HMU utbildningen på Musikkonservatoriet Falun. I Musik i Dalarnas verksamheter finns 15 anställda i olika funktioner. Verksamheten bedrivs i privat hyrda lokaler, där all administration och orkesterrepetition sker. Dalasinfoniettan har 28 heltidsanställda musiker. Dalasinfoniettan är Dalarnas kammarorkester som ger konserter i det vackra och kulturellt rika Dalarna, men också runtom i Sverige och världen. Från hösten 2019 heter Dalasinfoniettans chefdirigent Roberto González-Monjas. Dalapop är ett resurs- och produktionscentrum för populärmusik från Dalarna vars huvudsakliga verksamhetsområden är artistutveckling, branschutveckling, utgivning och marknadsföring av Dalarnas musikliv. Unga Musik i Dalarna ger alla Dalarnas skolor musikprogram av hög konstnärlig och pedagogisk kvalitet. Imagine Sweden drivs i samarbete med Regional Musik i Sverige (RMS), regionmusikorganisationer, föreningar och andra verksamheter runt om i Sverige. Det internationella programmet Imagine ligger under JMI och finns i Sverige, Brasilien, Nordmakedonien, Norge, Ungern, Belgien, Frankrike, Zimbabwe, Polen och Nederländerna. Musik i Dalarna ägs av en stiftelse med Region Dalarna som huvudman. Bidragsgivare är Statens Kulturråd, Region Dalarna och kommunerna Falun och Borlänge. Egna intäkter består av biljettförsäljning, konsertförsäljning till lokala arrangörer och näringsliv samt sponsorintäkter.
