Suite Melody Care
Suite Melody Care started off with Founder & Chair Leslie Ashworth performing the violin at the Oakville Hospital as a high school student. Seeing how meaningful the music was for the hospital patients, Leslie was inspired to start a program so that other young musicians can bring joy through music to hospital patients and the elderly. It is well known that music and medicine go hand in hand as music creates magical moments that can calm, soothe, and bring joy to those listening. Music can reach deeply inside people. It brings people together from any age and background, activates emotions, stimulates memories, relieves symptoms, and overall gives hospital patients something to focus on other than their pain and anxieties. Suite Melody Care encourages talented, young musicians to give back to their communities by sharing themed, interactive, volunteer performances with audiences in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and retirement residences.

The Music Studio
Ed Lettner established The Music Studio after graduating from the music program at Humber College. His goal was, and still is, to combine his passion for teaching with the skills he gained through education and performance to provide a centre for excellence in traditional and contemporary music education. Ed chose The Music Studio's motto,"Instruction by Professionals", to convey his philosophy. The Music Studio began on a side street with four teachers. Today, home is a modern, energy-efficient facility in the Islington Village Plaza where 31 dedicated teachers welcome hundreds of students each week, reflecting the diversity of our community. Children and adults of all ability levels may study Classical, Jazz, Popular and World music in a friendly learning environment. Students benefit from: personalized private instruction, an innovative ensemble program, performance opportunities and free recitals. Students are matched with teachers based on their musical requirements and personality, and prospective students may speak with teachers before registering. Their students receive top marks in music examinations, and receive awards and scholarships at music festivals. The Music Studio in Etobicoke supports school music programs by including students' school music in their lessons. Customer service and value for money are also at the core of Ed's philosophy. The convenient scheduling of lessons, no registration fee and free music folders and lesson notebooks are more examples of how The Music Studio puts students first. Ed is proud that most of The Music Studio's new students are referred by current students and school music teachers; a testament to the training and student-focused approach of the teachers, many of whom have been with The Music Studio for more than ten years.

The Shot
Don’t think of The Shot as being like your typical singing competition like The Voice or American Idol or The X-Factor; instead, think of it more like Dragon’s Den or Shark Tank where your audition is like a job interview — you’re pitching yourself, your voice and your talent (your product). The process leading up to the Showcase is an opportunity to work with mentors that will help you to refine what you have to sell with the Showcase being the chance to really … showcase who you are and what you’ve got to give to a professionals from all across the spectrum of the music industry. The Shot is part singing competition, part scouting platform. The Shot provides the opportunity for the best aspiring talent to seen by labels, management, agencies and insiders and does the scouting for the industry. While other platforms are in it for themselves, looking for talent for their own rosters and purposes, The Shot is opening doors and creating opportunities for everyone else in the business. The Shot is produced by Music & Artist Development Experience: a registered not-for-profit corporation.
