Primavera Sound is a Barcelona-based music promotion company that has, since its modest beginnings, developed a strong commitment to music so that spectators from different generations can enjoy the experience of live music to the full. This is clearly reflected in the innovative quality of its events, that exude coherence, eclecticism and the love of risk taking and are characterized by its unmistakeable artistic line strongly influenced by rock, pop and the most underground tendencies of dance music. Its festival Primavera Sound, that has taken place in Barcelona since 2001, has consolidated itself as a model reference for urban festivals that is internationally considered as an unmissable musical event. In parallel to this main event, PrimaveraPro has also taken off. An international meeting aimed at professionals from the music industry that in only five years has become an international reference for the independent music industry. Its programme comprises talks, conferences, workshops, showcases, meetings, etc. NOS Primavera Sound is Primavera Sound’s Portuguese counterpart and it has taken place in the city of Porto since 2012. The event has grown with every edition confirming the expansion of the Primavera spirit beyond our borders. Moreover, the indoor festival Primavera Club that takes place every autumn in different venues around Barcelona offers the occasion to discover artists that represent what the organisers see as the immediate future of the music scene. Company founded in 1986. Mas i Mas is known for offering an activity focused on quality music. It is a passion and a vital project that has managed to provide Barcelona with a top-level music circuit and support the talent of artists. It currently manages Jamboree Jazz Club, an emblematic jazz club which opened in 1960. It began to make a stable program with highly talented national and international musicians and, in this way, it gradually gained the respect of the media, the public and professionals in the sector. Based on a lot of work, risk and enthusiasm, today the Jamboree is already a classic on the Barcelona musical agenda, where concerts are held 365 days a year with the classic format of two passes, at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m, typical of the historic jazz cellars. It also manages Los Tarantos focused on flamenco, especially on guitar playing, singing and dancing, giving daily access to young groups and innovative proposals designed to please everyone, both lovers of the most classic flamenco and non-expert audiences. Furthermore, Mas i Mas focuses on electronic music and techno since July 1998. It took the rents from the old Villarosa cabaret on Arc del Teatre street and transformed it into the Moog Electronic Dancing Club, in order to create a space dedicated to quality techno and electronic music, not only as a nightclub but also offering live sessions in which creativity and experimentation played a fundamental role. Special mention to the Mas i Mas Festival, which since 2003 has offered, during the month of August, an ambitious program in our premises and in different places in the city, such as the Grec Theatre, the Palau de la Música Catalana or the Born Cultural Center and of Memory. Eumes
EUMES es una escuela de Música Avanzada y Sonido ubicada en Girona, enfocada a la formación de productores musicales. Ha sido creada por profesionales del sector musical y audiovisual y con la colaboración de la UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), el Ayuntamiento de Girona y ERAM (Escola de realització Audivosual i Multimèdia). Ofrece unos estudios únicos en todo el estado: el Diploma en Música Avanzada y Sonido, que tiene como objetivo llevar las disciplinas de la música y el sonido a otro nivel, mediante las nuevas tecnologías. EUMES es la primera escuela en el país que responde a la gran demanda de formación en el ámbito de la producción musical a través de su Diploma: una titulación con un plan de estudios de 4 años, que abarca todos los aspectos –técnicos y artísticos- que sostienen al músico del s.XXI, de cualquier estilo musical. Los alumnos que cursan este Diploma se forman durante cuatro años. El último año, el de especialización, se puede impartir en el extranjero, aprendiendo los conceptos sobre los fundamentos del sonido, producción musical, músico de directos, Music Business y emprendeduría, así como también aspectos empresariales y de management. Para conseguir sus objetivos, EUMES cuenta con un grupo de profesionales del sector en activo, especialistas en las diferentes disciplinas que se tratan dentro del plan docente del Diploma y que aportan toda su experiencia y contactos profesionales: sin duda, uno de los valores añadidos del centro. Our love for wood was born more than 65 years ago and over time it has evolved in an unexpected and natural way, as it happens with the great loves of life. It all began when Rafael Barber in 1957, before going to Germany to study the language, went to Madrid to visit his aunt. She gave shelter to a very old man who made guitars; that man asked Rafael if he could bring him some tapas from Germany, which were impossible to find here in Spain. These few tops that Rafael brought awakened the interest of many guitar makers who began to ask him for more and more wood. The demand for more exotic wood was growing as we were able to travel around the world in search of the best woods, of great beauty and exceptional sound. A simple chance led us, growing day by day, until today we have the largest quantity and variety of wood for musical instruments in the world.
