The beauty of wood is in its natural ability to embrace sounds. It's acoustic properties preserve the energy of sound, creating a tonal quality that reverbs into the depths of your soul. I was fascinated by string instruments made of wood for this very reason. Over years of experimentation with the amalgam of nature and sound, I developed a strong connection with the music it creates. Woodcraft is the world I live in, a world where the knowledge of nature, wood, and sound combine to produce beautiful themes to accompany our lives and our imaginations."-Tony Oudaimy, founder of Woodcraft Productions

Aub Classical Music Club
The Official Channel of the AUB Classical Music Club Who are we? We are a group of enthusiasts who share a common interest in Classical Music. Our mission is to spread Classical Music culture and promote its appreciation as an art form. Our Club also brings together musicians who wish to perform in front of audiences, and has so far organized 35 recitals and concerts, seven of which were held outside AUB. We believe music is not merely background noise; it's an art form. We hold that understanding music as a language offers tremendous value, allowing us to contemplate and reflect on the human condition. By cultivating attentive listeners, we can discern meaning and intent that express a vast range of ideas and emotions. The AUB Classical Music Club challenges the notion that classical music is a foreign art form in Lebanon. We recognize its rich local tradition of teaching, performance, and composition. In fact, AUB was one of the first institutions to teach classical music through the AUB Music Institute, which operated from 1926 to 1949. We see ourselves as responsible for solidifying AUB's position as a center for this cherished art form. By encouraging young musicians and composers to join our ranks, we ensure a vibrant future for classical music in Lebanon.

The John's Atelier
The John’s Atelier, founded by musician and educator Johnny Laoun, offers a wide variety of workshops and courses that are focused on building creative skills and providing professional devolvement in the fields of music, sculpture, and fine arts. With its masterfully designed program, the atelier is committed to providing high-quality training for participants of all ages and abilities. All workshops and classes are led by some of the finest educators and professionals in the industry. 1- Music: Having Jazz studies as the strongest component, the atelier includes training in the performance of musical instruments, sight singing, musical composition, and music theory. Most of the workshops will be focused on group work, which will offer participants who demonstrate excellence and commitment the opportunity to join the atelier’s musical ensembles and bands. The musical instrument program includes training in the performance of acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, saxophone, violin, drums, and others, while singing classes offer expert voice coaching for modern, western, and Jazz singing. Since it is essential to expand and deepen the musical awareness in individuals from an early age, the atelier also offers a Music Awareness class that introduces children to the world of music, develops their music skills, and improves their brain performance. 2- Fine Arts: The John’s Atelier also includes Fine Arts classes that offer training in painting, crafting, pottery, and others. Led by experienced educators and professional artists, these interactive classes help develop the motor and creative skills in children and provide professional development and training for adults. And let’s not forget how much fun they are! 3- Sculpture: The John’s Atelier is probably one of the few workshops in town that provides professional sculpting (carving) training. Sculpting is arguably the world’s oldest profession, and today, it is highly prevalent in both the fine and decorative arts. Our sculpting classes will teach sculptor- aspirants how to masterfully use their hands to sculpt basic and sophisticated shapes using different materials. Maybe it is time to bring out the sculptor in you!
