Sami
SAMI is a non-profit organisation that is dedicated to the promotion of the interests of artists and musicians. It can truly be said to be their own organisation. SAMI’s main task is to administrate performers’ economic rights in Sweden, based on the Swedish Copyright Act (1960:729) and corresponding legislation in other countries within the framework of the Rome Convention (1961) and principally its Article 12. With regards to composers’ and song-writers’ economic rights these are administrated by STIM. As a so-called “collecting society” for performers, SAMI’s primary task is to collect and distribute remuneration for the secondary use of phonograms. The legal right to equitable remuneration covers not only broadcasting but also all other kinds of public use of sounds recordings, e.g. in restaurants, shops and hotels. Furthermore, SAMI also administrates the performers’ rights to remuneration for the cable retransmission of phonograms and their right to remuneration to compensate the private copying of their recorded performances.

Konserthuset Stockholm Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra
The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1902 and Konserthuset Stockholm has been its home since 1926. The blue concert hall at Hötorget is one of Stockholm’s most recognisable buildings. The bylaws stipulate that the Stockholm Concert Hall Foundation is “intended to realise artistic and cultural aims”. It shall pursue active music operations by giving concerts, and for this purpose it shall “maintain and preserve” a fixed orchestra in Stockholm, called the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. The vision is for Konserthuset Stockholm to be one of Europe’s most innovative and accessible concert halls. Its offering shall be of the highest international quality. The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra shall be one of the music world’s most discussed and respected orchestras, continuously recognised for its high quality and musical curiosity. The purpose with Popkollo is to achieve a gender equal music scene where everyone can play music. We do this by offering an environment where the norms look different than in the current society. We use norm critical pedagogy and methods to encourage creativity and DIT (Do It Together).
