Misjonsalliansen Mission Alliance
Mission Alliance enables people to create a better life for themselves and their families. Who we are: Mission Alliance is a Christian organization that has demonstrated the love of Jesus in action since 1901. We believe all people are created in the image of God and deserve equal opportunities. Why we exist: The world is fundamentally unjust. 1.3 billion people live in extreme poverty—half of them are children. We exist to help change that. What we do: We work alongside communities, churches, and local organizations in South America, Africa, and Asia to fight poverty and injustice. Our efforts help protect children and youth, and strengthen families’ in

Our primary areas of intervention are institutional development, public service delivery, and conflict resolution. Headquartered in Oslo, Norway, NIS recently finalised a project in Sri Lanka and currently implements projects in Somalia, Myanmar, and the Sahel. Our ability to effectively carry out capacity building and mediation in complex environments allows us and our partners to quickly respond to new challenges and opportunities as they arise. NIS’ extensive network of experienced senior practitioners, analysts, and on-the-ground local contacts enables us to engage with all parties to a conflict, including non-state actors with whom members of the international community may have difficulty engaging directly. Intosai Development Initiative Idi
The INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) supports Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) in developing countries to sustainably enhance their performance, independence, and professionalism. As an INTOSAI body, IDI aims to empower SAIs by promoting gender-responsiveness and peer-to-peer cooperation as essential elements of long-term capacity development. Each country has a Supreme Audit Institution whose job is to audit public funds as an effective, accountable and inclusive institution. IDI believes that strengthened Supreme Audit Institutions will make a difference in the lives of citizens because:* Government audits are key components of effective public financial management and Good Governance.* SAIs contribute to the quality of government engagement and better state-society relations through their work.* SAIs are key stakeholders in supporting the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The IDI has a unique mandate to serve the needs of all developing country SAIs while not being tied to any country’s specific geographic or political interests. Its support to SAIs includes:* Implementation of international standards * Capacity building for institutional, organisational and professional staff.* Knowledge-sharing and implementing best practices for SAI governance and auditing.* Enhanced support to SAIs through partnerships with stakeholders. The IDI maximises its value to SAIs by focusing on areas where its unique position and experience gives it a comparative advantage over other providers of support. Leveraging a client-centered approach, IDI helps SAI development initiatives at global, regional, subregional and SAI level; including bilateral support for SAIs in fragile states. The IDI also serves as secretariat to the INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation, an organisation set up in 2010 to enhance the volume and coordination of support for strengthening SAIs in developing countries.
