We are building a network of existing entities throughout the Caribbean region already fighting hunger. There are schools, faith based organizations and local businesses feeding those in need of food. These efforts are limited due to a lack of funding, resources, awareness and global support.

MyIsland Ballers, Inc. is a non-profit organization and AMATEUR ATHLETIC UNION MEMBER providing extracurricular activities to young children of the Virgin Islands. This opportunity will allow the participants to interact outside of school and build solid relationships with old and new friends. This vision evolved from the members who formed the MyIsland Ballers Travel team. The Travel Team has a proud tradition of providing recreational basketball opportunities to the adult males of the Virgin Islands. Our goal is to bring players with the desire, dedication and talent together to play at a high level of competition. More importantly, the Travel Team has a positive impact on the lives of Virgin Islanders and the community. Currently, we are branching out with the objective of giving back to the community by keeping our young children occupied in a positive manner. With our mission statement- Passion Driven Purpose Bound! Winning starts at the center! It is our expectation not only to develop champions on the courts but winners in life. By participating in this program, the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership will be stressed to prepare our participants for real life situations. As an extracurricular activity, it is essential to understand the benefits this opportunity will provide. After completing research, we found sports reduce the risk of obesity, improves coordination and balance, and also enhances social and personal skills. The participant’s physical movement body coordination will develop over time after continuing to actively participate. We have all heard the phrases, “Education is the Key to Success,” or “Knowledge is Power.” The participants will learn the benefits of excellent time management skills along with the importance of prioritizing for educational purposes. The MyIsland Ballers, Inc. stands firmly behind education as the foundation of success.
