Unlocking Communities
Unlocking Communities is redefining global development by replacing perpetual aid dependency with self-sustaining community enterprise. We are recognized as a system-changer because we equip high-potential grassroots organizations with a unique blueprint and blended financing model required to build long-term, viable enterprises. We are the risk-mitigating bridge that goes where others won't. We do not impose solutions; instead, we partner with radical local leadership to apply our framework to their self-identified needs. Our model is a proven, finance-backed framework for independence. It establishes clear business models and exit strategies. This mechanism ensures the complete and immediate transfer of economic power and ownership to local leaders upon independence. We achieve this by preferring blended debt/financing over perpetual grant reliance. We’ve impacted lives across 50 communities in challenging regions like Haiti, Ethiopia, and Ukraine. We have generated $20 million in economic savings for families and are rapidly scaling our enterprise models for global replicability. We are actively seeking partners who champion sustainable finance and alternative funding models.

Haitian Education & Leadership Program
For decades, Haiti’s emerging leaders have seen a cycle of violence, natural disasters, and systemic government failure. At the same time, young Haitians face steep barriers to higher education—one of the most effective pathway to social and economic development. Only 1% of college-aged Haitians attend college, and just over 50% of those students remain enrolled, with only around students graduating each year. Upon completing their studies, more than 85% of these graduates leave the country—giving Haiti one of the highest brain drain rates in the world. As a result, the number of college-educated individuals who remain in Haiti is alarmingly low, casting a shadow of uncertainty over the nation’s future. The Haitian Education & Leadership Program is committed to changing this narrative by empowering Haiti’s youth with education, leadership development, and resources to be the next generation of leaders and changemakers.

Health Equity International Formerly Sbhf
Health Equity International has been providing essential health and support services to those in need for more than 40 years. Our work has three core components: St. Boniface Hospital, our healthcare facility in southern Haiti, is the largest care provider for over 2 million people in the region and serves as a model health system for the entire country. Our dozens of clinical programs are designed to meet and evolve with our patients’ needs. Here, medical professionals at every level of their careers come to learn and expand their skills. And our community health program and satellite clinic ensure that people living in the mountainous areas around St. Boniface Hospital can access the care they need. Our health system strengthening projects, designed and implemented in partnership with the Haitian Ministry of Health, bring our model of care to more people in more places. We’re sharing what we’ve learned with dozens of healthcare facilities and other nonprofit organizations across Haiti’s southern peninsula and providing healthcare workers with the training and technical support they need to deliver high-quality care. Our shelter and stabilization project, begun in 2024, provides critical shelter and stabilization services to dozens of unhoused migrant families in Massachusetts. We work in accompaniment with each family to design a rehousing and stabilization plan that meets their unique needs and helps them achieve self-sufficiency and independence. Through compassionate, dignified, and culturally competent services, casework, and community support, we are helping our clients build the future they want for themselves. At HEI, we believe that everyone deserves the right to be well. Together with our global network of partners and supporters, we’re creating a safer, healthier world for all.

All Things New
All Things New is a ministry in Haiti that began in February 2013. Our first priority is All Things New Orphanage that will house and take care of 34 beautiful children who have either lost or been abandoned by their parents. Matt and Jessica Bush (the founders of All Things New) are in the process of moving to Haiti to provide love and care for these children. We need your help! Please partner with us in getting the word out about this ministry. We need to purchase land, build buildings, hire care-givers and security, etc. Please join us in this task. GOD clearly called Matt and Jessica to All Things New when He brought them into contact with the children who live in this orphanage. Currently, 1 Haitian couple is trying to take care of all of these children. They have no resources, poor facilities, and no training in caring for these children and they need help. The sooner we can move down to run this orphanage, the better it will be for them and for us!

Children Of The Promise
Children of the Promise (COTP) is a non-profit organization based out of Willmar, Minnesota. Our main focus is to support at-risk children and families in Northern Haiti. We believe families should stay together. We serve families at risk of separation by investing in family strengthening programs, with the goal to keep families together and to empower them towards a life of sustainable health and wellness. When the separation of a child from a family does occur due to a variety of reasons, we pursue family-based care and use temporary family-style residential care when needed, with the goal to unite the child with a healthy forever family. Education is a key piece in helping families out of the cycle of poverty. Our school, Institution Chrétienne Enfants de la Promesse (ICEP), welcomes over 330 students to school every day and its vision is "to provide Christ-centered quality education, equipping students for a life of praise and service in their communities and beyond for the glory of Jesus Christ".

Overture International
We are Overture International, a nonprofit established by individuals in both the US and Haiti to empower Haitian families and their communities to be active and engaged in building full, hopeful and independent lives. We are the catalyst for the work at ESPWA in the south of Haiti, a child development center that makes every attempt to keep children in the most natural and supportive environment possible – the family. Simply put, our belief is that job creation is the ultimate solution to combating the ongoing cycle of poverty that results in family separation, vulnerability to natural disasters, and a dependence on foreign aid. We're excited to share more about our work – and your place in it – in the coming months and years.

Tek4kids.Org
Tek4Kids’ mission uses systematic methods to attack systematic poverty. By educating young Haitians with technology, we give them the tools used all around the world in an effort to help them break the cycle of poverty affecting them. Because we partner with existing schools in Haitian communities, we avoid brick-and-mortar expenses. This also strengthens Haitian social institutions, as administrators and teachers learn how to access and use Tek4Kids’ curriculum. Finally, our Tek4Kids “graduates” communicate what they are learning to peers outside of their school: to friends, family, and to their entire social network.

Fondation Rose Et Blanc Freb
Created in Haiti, about 21 years ago, when several other organizations and foundations were also created without making big changes to the unfortunate situation of misery of the Haitian people, this social movement comes from an initiative of Sophia Martelly with her husband Michel and their kids. In September 2008, this family initiative became a foundation and is called « Fondation Rose et Blanc (FREB) ». Since then, it has established contacts with governmental entities, NGO’s and other private institutions in order to combine efforts to improve the social, sanitarian and economic conditions of Haitians. FREB, since its creation, has been able to intervene in many departments of the country bringing support and accompaniment to the most disadvantaged. Seeing the impact made by FREB, over the years various caring people and institutions backed up this initiative which primarily aims to help those in need.

Parole Et Action
Founded in 1986 by Eris Labady, Parole et Action came to light to empower people living in rural areas in Haiti. Most of these rural regions are unreached by most NGOs, have no local government presence or facility and infrastructures. In some of these regions, children walk more than three hours a day before reaching a school or hospital or church. Indeed, thousands of children and millions of communities members lack access to education, food, water, and relevant infrastructures. Devastated by seeing people living in such horrific condition, Pastor Eris then came with that vision and found Parole et Action to impact these people. More than 30 years after, our mission and vision remain the same. We go to vulnerable communities to invest and impact people. Now, we are working with 37 communities in the South, West, Center, and Artibonites departments to educate young leaders for community development. We have been able to support 37 schools and impact more than 10 children annually with quality education, health assistance, food and clean water. We also run programs like Child Advocacy & Policy Influencing, Livelihood, Health, Sponsorship, and Emergency Relief. We are changing lives through relevant assistance to the most needed. Wouldn’t you like to do the same?
