Casasola is the first independent public space in the City of Panama and is founded on the belief that appreciation, contact, and in particular participation in art and design projects generate debates that must always be available and within reach of all for catalyse cultural, social and even political Casasola es una sala de exhibición de arte y diseño, sin fines de lucro, dedicada a la investigación, exhibición y educación para conectar a personas de todas las edades con el mundo en necesidad de cambios a través de un “Movimiento de Arte y Diseño NoConvencional”. Con el objetivo de fomentar debates críticos al alcance de todos y para catalizar cambios culturales, sociales, económicos y hasta políticos, Casasola se fundó en 2013 como el primer espacio público-independiente que invita a reflexionar y compartir valores, bajo el concepto de que las exposiciones sean mucho más que un contenedor de obras y en su lugar, logren convertirse en motor para la apreciación, el contacto y, en especial, para la participación de todas las personas en proyectos de arte y diseño.

Hoops2dreams
Hoops2Dreams is a non-profit organization dedicated to seeking social justice for under-provisioned children in Panama who have restricted access to education or sports. Shoes, clothing, school books and supplies are extremely limited in the communities we serve. Many of these children walk barefoot to spare the soles of their only pair of shoes - flip flops. We provide athletic shoes, apparel, school books, educational supplies, and social engagement programs. Through our basketball program, the children learn essential life skills, such as teamwork, goal setting, comradery, patience, persistence, self-actualization and how to respond positively to setbacks and failures in life. It is our goal to ensure every individual is educated, healthy, happy, mindful and possesses a positive social environment; this leads to future successes in seeking employment, social partnerships, family, sense of self and spiritual foundations.

Only a few minutes away from the center of Panama City and strategically located alongside the Canal is Ciudad del Saber (City of Knowledge). On the site of the former Clayton U.S. military base, City of Knowledge encompasses an area of 300 acres with more than 200 buildings, and houses a thriving international community where academic, scientific, humanistic and corporate institutions collaborate to further human and sustainable development, based on knowledge. The old barracks and other military facilities have been transformed into modern offices, laboratories, and classrooms. Former training areas and parade grounds have also been repurposed to create a favorable environment for research, learning, innovation, creativity and interaction. This transformation has been the responsibility of a private, non-profit, Panamanian institution: City of Knowledge Foundation. Since its inception, the Foundation has worked to attract and establish innovative enterprises, prestigious centers for research and training, as well as advanced academic programs and major international agencies.
