De VSB, opgericht in 1950, is in de 68 jaar van haar bestaan uitgegroeid tot een overkoepelende werkgeversorganisatie van lidbedrijven. Stichting Fonds Ontwikkeling Binnenland

Stichting Fonds Ontwikkeling Binnenland (Stg. FOB), welke tot doel heeft, bij te dragen aan het wegwerken van de sociaal-economische achterstand van de, in het binnenland van Suriname woonachtige leefgemeenschappen, werd in het jaar 2003 opgericht. Middels identificatie en implementatie van projecten welke aansluiten op de behoeften van de doelgroep en passen binnen hun prioriteitsinstelling, levert Stg.FOB een bijdrage aan het opbouwen van zichzelf bestendigende landelijke economieën in deze rurale gebieden. De Stg.FOB is een semi-overheidsinstelling ressorterende onder het Ministerie van Regionale Ontwikkeling en met een vertegenwoordiging van zowel de overheid, NGO’s als de marrons en inheemsen in het bestuur. Tevens bestaat de Stichting uit een professioneel bureau, welke als uitvoerend orgaan functioneert. Visie Stichting FOB fungeert als een succes- & strategische factor, die de binnenlandse gemeenschappen ondersteunt in hun streven, om sociaaleconomische zelfstandigheid te realiseren. Suriname Economic Oversight Board

Op 1 juni 2023, is de memorandum of understanding (MoU), getekend door de president Chandrikapersad Santokhi met de Suriname Economic Oversight Board (SEOB). De MoU is medeondertekend door de Minister van Financiën en Planning, de Governor van de Centrale Bank van Suriname en vertegenwoordigers van de Surinaamse Bankiersvereniging en Vereniging Surinaams Bedrijfsleven. De doelstellingen van de SEOB zijn onder andere: 1. Het monitoren en adviseren van de regering over het implementeren van het IMF-programma en het economisch herstelplan op basis van duidelijke prestatie indicatoren; 2. Het beoordelen, ondersteunen en versterken van het regeringsbeleid en de activiteiten die worden uitgevoerd om de programma’s conform de deadlines te implementeren; 3. Het ondersteunen in het transparant communiceren naar de gemeenschap over de status van de programma’s en het economische herstelplan; 4. Functioneren als permanent adviesorgaan voor de regering in de stabilisatie- en groeifase van de economie.

Het Uitvoeringsorgaan Basiszorg (UO Basiszorg) is in de Wet Nationale Basiszorgverzekering opgericht en ingesteld op 9 oktober 2014. Green Heritage Fund Suriname

Green Heritage Fund Suriname is a charitable nonprofit organization, primarily active in the maritime and coastal area of Suriname. The foundation was established by founder Monique Pool in October 2005, after she agreed to take care of an abandoned sloth earlier that year. This is the start of the first program of the foundation, the Xenarthra Program. Our mission is moving all Surinamers to make wise decisions for the sustainable use of our natural resources. We run four programs which seek to ensure sustainable development of Suriname’s natural resources and biodiversity. In the Xenarthra program we shelter and rehabilitate sloths, anteaters and armadillos in our Sloth Wellness Center, educate & inform on these special animals and protect their habitat. In our dolphin program we protect the wild dolphin population in the Suriname river through a monitoring program that contributes to decision-making on the estuary of the Suriname River. We provide education and information with regards to the values of nature conservation through our Education & Research Program. With the Green Community Development Program, we promote the recuperation and revival of cultural awareness, including those dimensions of Surinamese culture that embody positive values and practices, as well as indigenous knowledge about the environment.
