Mellitah Oil & Gas Mellitah Oil & Gas B.V Libyan Branch was established by General Peoples Committee Resolution No. 253 for the year 2008 issued on 21/04/2008 in accordance to an agreement concluded between the National Oil Corp. and Eni North Africa on 16/10/2007. This Agreement stipulates on amalgamation of the assets and activities of both Eni Oil and Mellitah Gas, to start effective as of 01/01/2008. The NOC also signed on 30/10/2008, an Agreement of Shareholders upon which Mellitah Oil & Gas is assigned to manage and operate the Oil Operations of the Concessions signed on 12/06/2008. This Agreement included six agreements of EPSA 4. Thus, Mellitah Oil & Gas ranks as the biggest oil Company in Libya by producing equivalent oil barrel/day )Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Condensed Gas: Propane, Butane and Nafta( in addition to a daily production of 450 tons of Sulphur. The Company manages several onshore fields spread across the country. It also manages offshore fields consist of three platforms and a floating tank. Moreover, it manages a network of onshore pipe lines of various sizes extended for thousands of kilometers. The company is exporting part of the processed natural gas from Mellitah Industrial Complex through an offshore pipe line )of 32 inches / 516 km( connecting Mellitah Industrial Complex to the southern coast of Italy, and managed by the Green Stream. This offshore export Line is considered to be the first link between Libya and Europe. Mellitah Oil & Gas is also participating in covering a great deal of the needs of the natural Gas local consumption which feeds Generating power stations.

Mabruk Field Mabruk Field: is an onshore field located about 170 kilometers to the south of Sirt town (Middle Eastern Libya). It was discovered in 1959 by LIAMCO (Libyan American Company), but was never developed due to the adverse characteristics of its carbonated reservoirs. The development of the Mabruk oil field started in 1994 and has required the setup of innovative technologies to bring about a successful economic production from a tight and complex oil field (horizontal and multilateral drain drilling technology). AL Jurf Field AL Jurf Field: is an offshore field situated close to the Tunisian border, 100 km off the coast and 150 km from Tripoli. The phase one development of the Al Jurf oil field is in final stages with the last wells being drilled. From a fixed drilling & production platform (BD1) set at 87 meters of water depth linked to a Floating, Production, Storage & Offloading unit (FPSO) set in 83 meters of water depth via 10″ sea- line of about 3 kilometers distance. First oil production was achieved on September 05th, 2003.

Sarir Oil Operations B.V. Libya Branch
20 Oct 2020, The National Oil Corporation- Libya (NOC) announced that the newly established joint operating company (JOC) named Sarir Oil Operations (SOO), undertakes operatorship on the contract Areas 91 and 107 (formerly C96 and C97), which preliminarily operated by the German oil and gas company Wintershall Libya business unit The SOO was recently established employing a joint-venture company owned by the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Wintershall Company (WIAG)(51% NOC and 49% WIAG) under the ESPA-IV fiscal regime. The EPSA-IV agreement was signed as a result of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) approved in 2010. The NOC then commenced negotiations with Wintershall Company to implement the Memorandum of Understanding. These negotiations acquired thirty months of continuous discussions and finally reached a successful version of the EPSA-VI agreement on 12 Dec 2019 to operate nine fields in both Areas 91 and 107. Operations during the period of singing till the establishment were under the management of Wintershall to finalize the official founding and registration requirements of Sarir Oil Operations. Production was initially started with barrels a day in October 2020, but with a capacity of more than BOPD, it’s one of the most significant reserves in Libya.

The Arabian Gulf Oil Company (Agoco) is an oil company based in Benghazi, Libya, engaged in crude oil and natural gas exploration, production and refining. It was a subsidiary of the state-owned National Oil Corporation (NOC). Overview: Agoco's roots go back to 1971 when the Arabian Gulf Exploration Company (AGECO) was established, following the implementation of Law No. 115, issued by the Libyan Revolutionary Command Council nationalizing shares held by British Petroleum (BP). Agoco was formed by the NOC in late 1979 to take over the assets of a partnership of BP and Nelson Bunker Hunt of the United States, and a partnership of Chevron and Texaco called Amoseas. Agoco has upstream operations in eight oil fields, including Sarir, Messla, Nafoora, Beda and Hammada. The company also operates an oil terminal and a refinery in Tobruk and Sarir. Agoco Fields: The Sarir field was discovered in the Sirte Basin by BP in 1961 is considered the country's largest field.[3] The Messla field was discovered in 1971 and is situated 500 km southeast of Benghazi and is also considered as one of the biggest fields in the Sirte basin. Nafoora field is situated in the northeastern part of the Sirte basin and discovered in early 1965.[4] The Beda and Hamada fields were discovered during 1959, in the eastern Sirte basin and the southern border of the Grahames basin respectively. Bede and Hamada are nearly considered dead fields unless new Enhanced oil recovery technology can be implemented. Additionally, Agoco often operates fields owned by other companies. Agoco production was estimated by NOC at around bbl/d m3/d) in 2003. As of 2010, Agoco produced around bbl/d m3/d), representing approximately 25% of total Libyan crude oil production. 2011 Libyan civil war: Main article: 2011 Libyan civil war The Arabian Gulf Oil Company has announced plans to use oil funds to support anti-Gaddafi forces.
