Cartonnerie Gondardennes
Cartonnerie Gondardennes is the French leader in sheetboard. Founded in 1897 and 100% family owned, Cartonnerie Gondardennes (CGW Packaging Group) is the French market leader in corrugated sheetboard. The company manufactures tonnes of recycled paper per year and more than 250 million m2 of corrugated board, while expanding into large-scale packaging production. Based in the heart of the Hauts-de-France region, the Cartonnerie Gondardennes production site is the largest dedicated site in Europe (30 ha) and offers a very wide range of corrugated board sheets for its French and international customers (30% for export). A choice of more than 500 qualities enables its converting customers to use the product for a wide range of applications, such as the manufacture of American boxes, blanks, wedges and POS materials. The CSR approach is a historical commitment at the heart of the group's DNA, which has always developed an industrial vision of sustainable development, preserving resources and significantly reducing its carbon footprint. We listen to our processing customers and meet their requirements through a high level of service and quality: Quality control is carried out at all stages of production: from the supply of waste paper for recycling, through continuous checks on paper machines and corrugators, to analyses carried out by the laboratory. Our industrial know-how combined with strong technical and commercial expertise enables us to find the most appropriate solutions to our customers' requirements, with flexibility and responsiveness. The CGW Packaging Group has two other corrugated board production sites for a complete national network- Cartonnerie Ondaine in Andrézieux-Bouthéon (42)[France]- Cartonnerie Lacaux in Bosmie-l'Aiguille (87)[France] The group also owns three cardboard companies. Ripack - Groupe Sefmat
In 1922, RIPPES begins its activity by producing flame welding equipment. In 1975 the idea of covering a loaded pallet with a heat shrink cover in order to stabilise the load and offer weather and theft protection, was hatched and rapidly expanded. The RIPPES Company was one of the first to develop a 'gun' connected to a gas supply, which, by dint of its hot flame, shrunk these shrink wrap covers. The rapid expansion of demand for these shrink 'guns' led to the company setting up a new corporate entity in 1981; the SEFMAT company, with the purpose of designing, manufacturing and promoting these products worldwide. These products are patented in Europe and the United States. The "cold nozzle" patent, which banished any risk of contact burns, placed RIPACK® in the front line of this market.
