Το ξεκίνημα της Softex, μας φέρνει πίσω στο 1936 όπου ιδρύθηκε από την οικογένεια Κεφάλα και στο 1937 που ξεκίνησε να λειτουργεί στο Βοτανικό. Η πορεία της από την αρχή ήταν ανοδική εκτινάσσοντας την παραγωγή χαρτιού από 1.250 τόνους το 1950 σε τόνους το 1968. Μέχρι το 1974 το χαρτί Softex έμπαινε σε περισσότερα από τα μισά νοικοκυριά στην Ελλάδα. Το 1984 πέρασε στο Δημόσιο και το μεταβιβάστηκε στην ιταλική πολυεθνική Bolton Group και στη συνέχεια το brand Softex αγοράζεται από την χαρτοβιομηχανία Intertrade Hellas Α.Β.Ε.Ε, μία από τις μεγαλύτερες εταιρείες επεξεργασίας χάρτου στην Ελλάδα. Η Intertrade, διαθέτοντας εργοστάσια στις Αχαρνές και με την παρουσία της στην εγχώρια αγορά τα τελευταία 24 χρόνια, παράγει χαρτί υγείας, χαρτοπετσέτες, κουζινόχαρτο για οικιακή και επαγγελματική χρήση και χαρτομάντηλα εξάγοντας μέχρι σήμερα σε 23 χώρες και απασχολώντας περισσότερους από 120 εργαζομένους. Η Intertrade Hellas, ιδρύοντας μια νέα εταιρεία με το όνομα Softex Μονοπρόσωπη Ι.Κ.Ε, ανέλαβε την ανάπτυξη του brand name της Softex δίνοντας πνοή στο ιστορικό brand και διεκδικώντας ξανά τον ηγετικό ρόλο που είχε το όνομα Softex στην ελληνική αγορά.

Mel Macedonian Paper Mills Sa

MEL is the largest paper recycling and cardboard production company in Greece and one of the largest in Southeastern Europe. Stergiou Abee

Georgios Stergiou over the years has created one of the most successful wood trading companies in Western Greece. His passion developed the company through the years and is now passed to his son Elias. In 1993 Elias Stergiou returned from his studies abroad and took a leading role in the company. In 1995 Stergiou ABEE was founded with the merge of two similar companies (one focused on the industrial production and the other on wood-trading). Within the next five years the company introduced the manufacture of wooden ceilings and floors. This significantly upgraded the wholesales network of the company with customers from all around Greece.
