Newlaw Music
Rooted deep in family, NewLaw have emerged quickly into the Canadian Country Music scene. From as early as they could walk, brothers Cayd, Ty and Dayne have loved to sing and play music together. Their sibling vocal harmonies are unmatched and the trio has developed a very unique and special sound. Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, the brothers started learning piano as kids and it wasn’t long before they expanded their musical abilities to guitar and drums. Inspired by the musical styles of artists from Ed Sheeran & Old Dominion to Dan + Shay, NewLaw began writing songs and performing in venues across Alberta and Saskatchewan. In 2015, they released their first EP, ‘Show You There’s Hope’, followed by their second EP, ‘You + Me’, in 2017. In 2020 the hit single, “Next to Me”, debuted on the Canadian Country Billboard Charts as well as CBC Country Top 40. The band have received high praise and acknowledgements throughout their career. A Western Canadian Music Award, three Gospel Music Association nominations, two Calgary Music Award nods, and an audition with the hot TV show America’s Got Talent, NewLaw have carved out a place in the world of country music, and Nashville started to take notice. Writing and recording with legendary Nashville songwriters and producers Brian White and Wil Nance,(who’ve garnered hit songs for artists George Straight, Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley), studio time in Nashville has been paying off. ‘Wish I Was There’, the third EP of the trio, was released in May of 2021 followed by the hit single ‘Lucky, Stupid, Crazy’, that debuted on Canadian radio in late 2021. As they continue to pursue music, the brothers always agree on one thing, family comes first!

Our mission is to create innovative and high-quality performing arts experiences in the Greater Toronto Area. Although incorporated as a Canadian non-profit organization in January of 2018, the company has several years of impact on local arts and culture. Since 2016, Olive Branch Theatre presents a regular season of shows, consisting of original works, relevantly curated concerts, published plays and musicals, as well as site-specific experimental works in local coffee-shops. Besides the Main Stage season, Olive Branch offers year-round workshops, centred around various disciplines in the performing arts, taught by internationally renowned industry professionals. Additionally, the organization is devoted to continuing important conversations after the curtain comes down through frequent post-show talkbacks and Q&A sessions.

The Lemmon Foundation (TLF) exists to repair the systems that shape work across the entertainment ecosystem. We start inside the industry, listening to artists, creators, crews, staff, and local organizers. Our work focuses on healthier ways of working, more sustainable business cases, and a higher standard of care for people across shows, productions, tours, programs, and companies.
