The Classic Theatre Festival, nominated for the 2013 Premier's Award for Excellence in the Arts, is Eastern Ontario's newest summer tradition. Now in its 4th season in beautiful Heritage Perth, Ontario, the Festival has won critical praise and audience raves for its sparkling productions of classics from the golden age of Broadway and the London Stage. We feature some of Canada's top theatre artists, whose work has been seen on the finest professional stages, as well as on TV, in film, and over the radio. Our award-winning artistic team, friendly staff, and accessible box office services combine to provide the perfect summer afternoon or evening's entertainment experience.

Clunk Puppet Lab

CLUNK Puppet Lab is a storytelling laboratory, dedicated to exploring intersections between intimate moments and connections of shared human experiences that are entangled with social, environmental, and ethical narratives, to catalyze consciousness and accelerate change. This all sounds very important and serious, we know, and it is. It’s also fun, playful, engaging and full of wonder. We collaborate with puppeteers, visual artists, musicians, dancers, and physical theatre artists to explore a broader perspective in the creation of work pushing the boundaries of puppetry as an art form. The best part is that we get to create temporary worlds in which to experiment with ideas and questions that tickle and whisper at the edges of everyday life.

Dance Teq Centre

Dance Teq Centre is an integrated dance facility in the heart of downtown Toronto. Dance Teq Centre's mandate is to support the local and international dance communities by: providing a dedicated space where dancers network and connect; offering an array of services to professional dancers; and providing exceptional classes in a variety of styles to the public. The centre houses three state-of-the-art studios which are available for rental for rehearsals and auditions, as well as two wellness rooms where therapists offer their services. Dance Teq Centre is the home of a variety of dance companies including Dance Teq. Under the artistic direction of Kevin Pugh, Dance Teq has been offering exceptional ballet and contemporary instruction to professionals and amateur dancers for nearly 18 years. Professional classes run every weekday morning while the recreational program is on weekday evenings and weekends. Dance Teq Centre has paired with La Berlue Média to offer a variety of professional media services to dance professionals, including videography, photography, artwork, copy, and new media. As a result of this partnership, Dance Teq Centre will cater to the online dance community through its video channel's insightful dance programming (factual and artistic). Our programming features DTC's associates as well as visiting artists.

Elegance Ballet Studio

Elegance Ballet Studio is a training ground for students of all ages. Our Studio focuses on teaching students to consistently act with integrity and respect, encourages continuous improvement and fosters teamwork. Each class is innovatively designed to provide creative and progressive training techniques taught by highly qualified dance teachers who focus on developing artistic growth within every student. Elmer Iseler Singers

The Elmer Iseler Singers (EIS), conducted by artistic director Lydia Adams is 20-voice fully-professional choral ensemble, founded by the late Dr. Elmer Iseler in 1979. It has built an enviable reputation throughout Canada, the United States and internationally through concerts, and recordings — performing repertoire that spans 500 years, with a focus on Canadian composers. EIS normally present a five-concert series in Toronto each season, and are featured at concerts, workshops, and festivals throughout Canada. Touring is also a major component of EIS activities with national tours, east and west, bi-annually, annual provincial tours and runouts. These events often engage community singers through workshops and in concert performances. Annually, EIS sponsors choral workshops through their GET MUSIC! Educational Outreach Initiative for secondary school conductors and choirs, concluding with a joint public performance. They also work with university students, to mentor young conductors, who also join us in the joint public performance. The Elmer Iseler Singers have recorded 15 CDs featuring Canadian music. EIS with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra were 2019 Grammy nominated and 2019 JUNO awarded for the brilliant Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Chandos CD recording, with Peter Oundjian, conducting. EIS are 2014 National Choral Award recipients and JUNO nominees for “Classical Album of the Year: Vocal or Choral Performance” for Dark Star Requiem with Tapestry Opera and Gryphon Trio in 2017 and for David Braid’s Corona Divinae Misericordiae with Patricia O’Callaghan in 2019.

Exultate Chamber Singers

Founded in 1981, Exultate Chamber Singers has been celebrated for its continuing tradition of choral excellence for forty years. The choir is enriched not only by the excellent musicianship of its members but also by their varied academic and professional backgrounds. Together they form a passionate, committed ensemble with a wide-ranging repertoire. Founded and led for 30 years by conductor and organist John Tuttle, the choir has since been under the direction of Dr. Karen Grylls (2011-2012), Dr. Hilary Apfelstadt (2013-2018), and its newest artistic director, Dr. Mark Ramsay. Exultate is a three-time winner of the Canada Council Healey Willan Grand Prize and recently won first place in the adult mixed-voice chamber choir category of the 2019 Choral Canada National Competition for Canadian Amateur Choirs. The choir has appeared in performance with Alice Parker, Morten Lauridsen, and Ola Gjeilo, and has released five full-length albums to date.

Fanshawe Chorus London

London Fanshawe Symphonic Chorus has an extensive history of providing Symphonic Choral Music to the London, ON community and internationally. The Chorus is an auditioned, mixed voice adult choir that performs a diverse orchestral repertoire, with an emphasis on rarely performed classical choral music. Fanshawe Chorus London has twice won the prestigious Lieutenant-Governor’s Award, and was selected to sing at the Canada Day celebrations at the National Arts Centre, Ottawa, during the 2010 visit of HRM Queen Elizabeth II. In 2011, a three CD boxed set of live music was recorded to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the London Fanshawe Symphonic Organization.

Folklorico Filipino Canada

In 1973, a group of young, newly arrived Filipino immigrants met and soon began to socialize with Filipinos living in Toronto. From this small social club came the desire to form a dance group, showcase the cultures and traditions of the Filipinos. In 1974, the Province of Ontario issued a letter Patent incorporating Folklorico Filipino (Canada) Dance Company. The founding members of Folklorico Filipino were either former dancers, professional entertainers or artists. In retrospect, the merging of the different creative backgrounds of each individual made our approach unique and diverse. The group that had taken form was innovative, experimenting and presenting Philippine culture in a nontraditional style. Drama was also incorporated into the different folk dances. Original music scores resulted from mixing traditional sounds with new arrangements. For over 40+ years, Folklorico Filipino continually delights their audience with enjoyable and exciting programs with its innovative style of modernizing the folk dances of the Philippine cultures. This has made them distinct and recognized worldwide. In line with the objectives of Canadian Multiculturalism, Folklorico Filipino Canada (FFC) aims for the development and promotion of the Filipino identity through performing arts by- Depicting Philippine culture through music, song, dance, and drama- Training interested Filipinos of all ages in Philippine folk music, dance, and drama - Showing the public Philippine customs, traditions, and history through folk song, dance and drama - Encouraging Filipinos and other Canadians to discover and develop their talents and abilities and to develop their potential in the performing arts.
