Teatro Di Locarno

The idea of the Locarno Theater was born in mid-1847, however it took half a century to give substance to the project. The Theater was designed by the architect Ferdinando Bernasconi and the painter Filippo Franzoni, inspired by the hall of La Fenice in Venice. In 2022 the City of Locarno became the largest shareholder of Kursaal Locarno SA. By taking up this role, she committed to carrying out all tasks relating to the management of the Theater with the utmost seriousness, to supporting the work carried out by the Friends of the Theater Association and to weaving an increasingly intense and solid relationship with the territory over time.
