National Theatre Of Northern Greece

The National Theatre of Northern Greece is one of the country’s largest theatre institutions. With its five indoor and two outdoor stages, plus the appearances it makes on tour and at festivals both in Greece and internationally, it has been a driving force on the cultural scene since 1961. The NTNG is a private legal non-profit entity and is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors along with the Artistic Director. It is supervised and funded by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sport. Seikilo Ancient World Music

SEIKILO – a private Museum of Ancient Music located in the heart of Thessaloniki – is the world's first interactive museum where visitors can engage with all exhibited artifacts, listen to the sounds of ancient instruments, and enjoy a premium hands-on experience at the end of the guided tour. Each tour is led by a professional lyre player, making pre-booking essential for visiting the museum. Back in 2014, the Koumartzis family—a family of musicians dedicated to preserving and promoting Greece’s musical heritage (both ancient and modern)—was inspired by the master’s thesis of Nikolaos Koumartzis (co-founder and R&D&I director) to establish LUTHIEROS Musical Instruments (https://luthieros.com/). This Lyre Workshop has since become a global leader in reconstructing fully functional replicas of ancient musical instruments, reviving the cultural legacy of Greece, Rome, Egypt, and beyond. The majority of these unique artifacts are showcased at the SEIKILO Museum. To date, LUTHIEROS instruments have been exhibited in over 50 countries, featured in productions such as Vikings (2024) and Ben-Hur (2016), and embraced by international music communities. The company also operates the LYRE ACADEMY (https://lyreacademy.com/) —an online educational institution specializing in the study and practice of ancient musical heritage. All of this has been made possible through the relentless efforts of LUTHIEROS Musical Instruments, which, beyond its global leadership in instrument reconstruction, boasts an experienced in-house RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT & INNOVATION (RDI) TEAM (https://seikilo.com/first-page/research-programs/).Over the years, this team has successfully participated in and implemented national and EU-funded research projects, collaborating with institutions such as the International Hellenic University, the CERTH, and the University of British Columbia. Recompulsive Behaviours

The ReCompulsive Behaviours Transdisciplinary Artist Collective, was founded in September 2016 after a Public Space Scenography workshop. Since 2018, the collective operates in parallel with the Creative Studio by Myrto Sarma [myrtosarma.com], Dimitra Trousa [dimitratrousa.com] and several external collaborators. They are occupying themselves with a variety of projects ranging from performing and visual arts to several design disciplines. Their interest lies within the collective dimension of social experience, and the political dimension of collectiveness. As a team, they work conjointly through every stage of the creative process which coincides with the presentation of their work. They acknowledge their method of work as an autopoietic experience shared between the work and its audience. Their fascination is located at that specific moment when the experience of the work becomes new awareness for its audience.

Founded in 2018, TooFarEast is a production company based in Athens. We have organised more than 30 performances in theatres, cultural centres and organisations around Greece, such as the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, Eleusis 2021 – European Capital of Culture, Onassis Stegi, Greek National Opera, Public Regional Theatres of Serres and Veria and others, and proudly collaborated with various artists from Greece and abroad. Η Νοσταλγία ιδρύθηκε το από τον Γιώργο Σίμωνα, την Τώνια Ράλλη και τον Στάθη Νταφαλιά. Based in Athens, Greece since its beginnings, it acquired its own performance space in 2011, RABBITHOLE Art & Performace space in Metaxourgeio (Athens), which has hosted the company's main productions, as well as various other greek and foreign artists.

To Treno Sto Rouf Railway Carriage Theatre

The Railway Carriage Theater to Treno sto Rouf is a unique industrial monument of contemporary Greek culture and history. It stands on the rails of Rouf Railway and Suburban Station in Athens and it “travels” its visitors in time, art and history while contributing to the upgrading of the historic area of Rouf and its reintegration into the cultural and tourist life of the city. It consists of ten refurbished antique cars, including an original wagon-restaurant from the 1926 Simplon Orient Express and a refurbished Breda type steam engine, which dates back to 1953, constituting evidence to contemporary Greek history and industrial heritage. All ten cars have been subsequently transformed, repaired and refurbished accordingly, with great sensitivity to originality and aesthetics, and are now home to a theatre stage, a music stage, a stage for alternative performances, a restaurant, a bar and foyer, dressing rooms and utility rooms as well as an open-air stage hosting all kinds of cultural activities.

Ο φιλόξενος και μοναδικός χώρος του #NMDF στη Γλυφάδα αποτελεί πρότυπο για τα ελληνικά δεδομένα, συνδυάζοντας τη μοντέρνα αισθητική με την λειτουργικότητα και την άνεση. Hippo Theatre Group

HIPPO Theatre Group was founded in 2009 by Alexandros Raptis and Fotis Dousos in Athens, Greece. Combining various theatre acting theories, performance techniques and live music, the company produces stimulating performances based on an personal acting style that calls "kinemo". The book with the same title is published in Greek last November. Moreover Hippo Theatre Group organizes Drama and acting workshops that offer the participants a more interactive involvement into the theatrical procedure: an opportunity to develop their physical and mental skills, while enjoy themselves creatively. The company has produced performances for children in Athens (GR), Thessaloniki (GR) and London (UK), performances for adults in Athens (GR) and New York City (U.S.A.) and Drama and Acting workshops for professional and amateur actors in Greece, U.S.A, and Australia. The productions have been represented in public and private schools, in theatre stages and venues, in festivals and universities around he world: Greece, Cyprus, Europe (Germany, France, Netherlands, U.K. Belgium, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Wales), U.S.A, Canada, Australia, Some of Hippo Theatre Group’s greatest moments are performing for the students of the Greek language learning class in YALE University, CT in April of 2013, doing an acting workshop based on its "kinemo" performing style for professional actors in Thespo19, the 19th edition of the International Youth Theatre Festival of Mumbai, India, in December of 2017 and winning the second prize in STRUS, the first International Multi Genre Youth Theatre Festival that took place in Lviv, Ukraine.

Theatromathia

Theatromathia' is a non Profit Theatre Company, based in Athens Greece and founded in January 2001. It produces imaginative performances for all ages, conducts seminars and lectures, produces Audio theatre CD's and many more. One of the main goals is the development of drama/theatre in education. We promote theatre as an educational tool by conducting seminars, workshops and lectures assisting educators "acquiring" knowledge about theatrical aspects and the use of theatre in teaching young and adults (dramatization, acting, improvisation, dramatic activities, etc). In our Children's Stage we produce (and tour), educational plays that are based on curriculum. In our main stage we produce inovative plays for adults. Simultaneously by developing our website, we introduce the idea of Educational Drama to new people everyday and promote the dialogue and exchange of ideas on the use of theatre/drama.
