National Theatre Of Northern Greece

The National Theatre of Northern Greece is one of the country’s largest theatre institutions. With its five indoor and two outdoor stages, plus the appearances it makes on tour and at festivals both in Greece and internationally, it has been a driving force on the cultural scene since 1961. The NTNG is a private legal non-profit entity and is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors along with the Artistic Director. It is supervised and funded by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sport. As a public theatre which repays citizens for the funding it receives through the art, education and entertainment it provides, and which seeks to remain open and accessible to society at large, the National Theatre of Northern Greece has forged a strategy which revolves around the following axes: • a wide-ranging repertory • high-quality productions for children and young people • a focus on theatre education and educational activities • strong ties and partnerships with cultural institutions, municipal authorities, bodies and social institutions • an emphasis on social policy • social activities which raise public awareness • low ticket prices with a wide range of concessions • a powerful international presence.

liminal is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting equal participation in cultural life through both national and international collaborations since 2016. At its core, it is driven by the belief that unrestricted access to culture is both an inalienable human right and a catalyst for revitalizing artistic practices and enriching the societal significance of art. Founded in 2018, TooFarEast is a production company based in Athens. Το #NMDF είναι πολλά περισσότερα από μια σχολή χορού. Από την πρώτη ημέρα λειτουργίας του, αποτελεί το επίκεντρο της διδασκαλίας και της εκμάθησης των δημοφιλέστερων ειδών χορού, έχοντας καταφέρει μέσα σε πολύ σύντομο χρονικό διάστημα να εδραιωθεί ως μια από τις κορυφαίες σχολές στον τομέα του μοντέρνου χορού. Παράλληλα, τα είδη που διδάσκονται, περιλαμβάνουν μια ευρεία γκάμα χορών, από hip hop και commercial μέχρι μπαλέτο, λάτιν και χορευτική γυμναστική. Δεν είναι υπερβολή να ειπωθεί ότι το #Nick Marianos Dance Factory αποτελεί έναν ζωντανό οργανισμό σε διαρκή κίνηση που σφύζει από ενέργεια και καλλιτεχνική δημιουργία, φιλοξενώντας σε ετήσια βάση κορυφαία ονόματα του παγκόσμιου στερεώματος στη διδασκαλία του χορού. Paris Mexis

Paris Mexis is a director, designer and writer working in opera, theatre, dance, cinema, television and advertisement in Europe and the USA. He also creates shows, exhibitions and corporate events and he is an associate creative director and copywriter at the multi awarded communication design agency, Beetroot. Paris is a frequently invited public speaker, he has participated in all the TEDx events in his home-city Athens (TEDx Athens, TEDx Academy and TEDx Youth) and he lectures at colleges, universities and conducts seminars and workshops about design, education and performance internationally. He is a tutor and lecturer at the Athenian Artistic and Technological Group (AKTO) and a communication advisor and lecturer at the CGS School in Athens. Paris is the president of the Greek Theatre Designers Association, a founding member of the non-profit cultural organisation “Polyphonica” championing equal opportunities in music education and he is a member of the Greek National Board for Dance and a member of the International Organization of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians (OISTAT). He was born in Athens and studied scenography in London at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (BA Theatre: Design for Performance, MA Scenography) and Prague at Divadelni fakulta Akademie Muzickych Umeni [DAMU](Opera Design), interior design at the Athenian Artistic and Technological Group (AKTO) and at the Middlesex University (BA Interior Design, Prize for Outstanding Performance in 1998 and and music at the Exemplary Experimental Conservatory in Athens.

Heterotopia - Museum Theatre

Heterotopia is an Athens-based creative research studio. We are working to raise the profile of theatre, performance and hybrid creative arts practice across the Greek heritage sector by promoting their value as research, interpretation, and engagement tools for museums, archives, historic environments, and sites of memory. Museum theatre is our principal research methodology and is woven into our work as a fundamental means of exploring the human stories within archives and collections. In addition to being an established form of live interpretation, museum theatre is also a valuable tool in practice-based archives and heritage research due to its ability to create space for the exploration of behaviours, ideas, and moral values of the past in a way that invites analysis and critical reflection. Each of our projects brings together a unique creative team around a practice-based research methodology. Together, we explore archives and collections of all kinds, seeking out new ways to understand the past and the present, by visualising and ‘giving voice’ to the human, intangible, or hidden aspects of our collective heritage.

Hippo Theatre Group

HIPPO Theatre Group was founded in 2009 by Alexandros Raptis and Fotis Dousos in Athens, Greece. Combining various theatre acting theories, performance techniques and live music, the company produces stimulating performances based on an personal acting style that calls "kinemo". The book with the same title is published in Greek last November. Moreover Hippo Theatre Group organizes Drama and acting workshops that offer the participants a more interactive involvement into the theatrical procedure: an opportunity to develop their physical and mental skills, while enjoy themselves creatively. The company has produced performances for children in Athens (GR), Thessaloniki (GR) and London (UK), performances for adults in Athens (GR) and New York City (U.S.A.) and Drama and Acting workshops for professional and amateur actors in Greece, U.S.A, and Australia. The productions have been represented in public and private schools, in theatre stages and venues, in festivals and universities around he world: Greece, Cyprus, Europe (Germany, France, Netherlands, U.K. Belgium, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Wales), U.S.A, Canada, Australia, Some of Hippo Theatre Group’s greatest moments are performing for the students of the Greek language learning class in YALE University, CT in April of 2013, doing an acting workshop based on its "kinemo" performing style for professional actors in Thespo19, the 19th edition of the International Youth Theatre Festival of Mumbai, India, in December of 2017 and winning the second prize in STRUS, the first International Multi Genre Youth Theatre Festival that took place in Lviv, Ukraine.

Based in Athens, Greece since its beginnings, it acquired its own performance space in 2011, RABBITHOLE Art & Performace space in Metaxourgeio (Athens), which has hosted the company's main productions, as well as various other greek and foreign artists.
