Bhartendu Academy Of Dramatic Arts

In memory of Bhartendu Harishchandra, father of Modern Hindi Drama, Department of Culture, Government of Uttar Pradesh established Bhartendu Natya Kendra in August, 1975 aiming to impart professional training in various aspects of theatre. Systematic training in dramatic arts commenced on 5th April, 1976. Two Year Diploma Course started in 1981 along with institute being renamed as Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts (BADA) popularly known as BNA. Financed by Department of Culture, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Academy is an Autonomous Body. Core objective of Academy is to impart profound training in theatre. During two year PG Diploma course at the Academy, an intensive training is imparted in Indian and Western theatre/drama emphasizing on Acting: movement, voice and speech, mime, improvisation, stage-craft: theatre architecture, scenic and set design, costume and make-up designing, light designing, direction and production process. Eminent theatre personalities of national and international repute are invited as visiting faculty in addition to regular faculty of the Academy. BNA is housed in its own four storied building comprising of studio theatre, two auditoriums with the latest equipments and technology, modern class rooms, library equipped with latest books and audio-visual aids, computers with internet facility etc. to create an environment conducive to teaching and learning. Professional repertory has also been established to promote theatre in remote areas of the state. It performs within and outside the state in rural and urban areas as well.

QTP is a theatre & arts management company that specialises in unique and engaging experiences for live audiences. Over the last two decades QTP has built up a reputation for producing groundbreaking work of new writers, remarkable restaging of classics, and also touring international productions across the length and breadth of India. We also continue to collaborate with international partners from the UK, Canada, France, and South Africa, to create groundbreaking shows that have been showcased around the world. Each year QTP helps produce two massive arts projects: Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai International Literary Festival and the youth theatre movement Thespo, which is now in its 23rd year. We also design and execute bespoke live experiences for product launches, company summits, press conferences and award ceremonies. Some of our past clients include Asian Paints, Ford Figo, MPower, Aditya Birla Group, etc. We have created unique performances with employees for Bayer, JSW, HUL, Sandoz, Piramal Group, etc. Most recently, we pivoted to also deliver live digital experiences (performances, workshops, webinars, panel discussions, etc.) for clients such as the NCPA, ICICI and Julius Baer. Royal Opera House Mumbai

The Royal Opera House, Mumbai is widely touted as the city's Cultural Crown Jewel and India's only surviving Opera House. Having been extensively restored and reopened in October 2016, we are a performance space and cultural venue par excellence and is one of the last standing Baroque structures in Mumbai today. The Maharaja of Gondal, Shri Vikramsinhji, bought the Opera House in 1952. His son, Shri Jyotendrasinhji, commissioned conservation architect, Abha Narain Lambah to restore the Theatre in in 2010 which was ably supervised by its Hon director Ashish Doshi. The Royal Opera House Mumbai was included on the 2012 World Monuments Watch to raise awareness about its history and significance, and support preservation efforts. Royal Opera House Mumbai eventually won an Award of Merit in the 2017 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation for this mammoth task of resonation.
