Gehendra Dhimal Foundation
The Gehendra Dhimal Foundation is all about giving back to the society. Established in 2020, the Gehendra Dhimal Foundation works with an objective to not only give back to the society in kind but also to empower the members of the communities that we live in. The Foundation was started to honour Gehendra Dhimal, a salutation to a soul who put others before self. Dhimal, who worked for over five decades in the film industry, was renowned for not only his professional career but also for his humbleness and his willingness to always reach out to those in need. The Foundation is thus a medium to carry on the legacy of a man, who wanted this world to be a better place to live in. There are a few examples of people who have actually gone on to pursue their passion and transformed it into a flourishing career. Gehendra Dhimal for definite is one among them. Born into a middle-class family it was difficult for Dhimal to convince people around him that he would make a career out of films but like they say where there is a will there is always a way. With this desire in his heart, Dhimal joined the Indian film industry as production assistant in 1960 and over the years worked in various Nepali, Indian and foreign films in various capacities. He was involved in some of the history-making Nepali films like Maiti Ghar, Kanchhi, Maya Preeti and Saino to name just a few. Similarly, he also rendered services to Indian films like Khuda Gawah, Mahaan, Johny Mera Naam and Hare Ram Hare Krishna that were shot in Nepal. Foreign films shot in Nepal where Dhimal rendered his services are A Night Train To Kathmandu, Manika, Our Girl, to name a few as well as hundreds of International TV Commercials. For his immense contribution to the film and art sector, Dhimal was bestowed on with several awards and letters of appreciation from various film making organizations and companies across the world.

Nepal Art Village
Nepal Art Village is a privately registered company dedicated to creating a future world heritage city that draws inspiration from the past. Centered around Living Art, our foundation is built upon the symbiotic relationship between art, artists, and clients. Situated in Chhampi, Phishing Phaant, ward no 9 of Godavari Municipality, our mission is to empower young artists by showcasing the potential for an improved quality of life through traditional art. Committed to environmental sustainability, Nepal Art Village aims to become a zero-carbon city, harmonizing with its natural surroundings. The Nepal Art Village will have 4 very distinct areas by functions. The first will be a core heritage area where we shall display the best our artists can design and craft. This will be the main area that will draw visitors and be able to enjoy the best Nepali artists have to offer which will be known as the Heritage Zone. The second will be a Residential Zone where there will be individual and collective housing designed in traditional styles but with all the modern amenities needed for comfort for everyone, especially children and the elderly. Water, waste, energy, and greenery will all be managed for zero negative impact and renewability. The extra rooms families have will be put online to generate income. We hope to offer more accommodation collectively than the largest hotels in Nepal. The third will be for business or Commercial Zone which includes shops, restaurants, and coffee and tea shops. The whole place should become a vibrant marketplace to buy and sell the best Nepal has to offer in the most relaxing shopping experience. Art, craft, textiles, food, drinks, pickles to local dairy and vegetable products will be available. We plan to use the market to revive ancient recipes and a memorable dining experience. The fourth area will be dedicated to workshops where artists, craftsmen, weavers and potters will all be able to do what they do best.
