Dulaang Crimson

The organization started on July 7, 2015 with the name of Dulaang Crimson where it started inside the corners of Western Mindanao State University (WMSU). A group of young college students and a couple of fresh graduates who were former members of the University’s Theater Guild, decided to create a small community theater organization that can create an avenue for for theater and arts enthusiasts among youth and young professionals of Zamboanga City and incorporate the art form in producing creative and inspiring advocacies that deals with the social development and transformation for the community. The word “Dulaang” which means playhouse or theater house was coined from an existing theater organization in the University of the Philippines called Dulaang UP and “crimson” was adapted from the WMSU’s mascot the “fighting crimson” and its brand color which is “crimson red”. The group was initially supported by the WMSU-Peace and Human Security Institute, a peace arm of the Office of the University President committed to building the bridge to peace. The office has opened a lot of doors for the Dulaang Crimson to explore social development work while using arts as a tool in projects or programs for social change. Through the years it continued to make theater happen in different areas in the city from co-designing and implementing projects such as the BATAnghal Project or the Balik-Eskwela through Theater Arts Workshop, a campaign to engage the children who were still displaced by the 2013 Zamboanga Siege to go back to school; Adolescent Development and Participation in Peace Building Project; Pamilyang X the Musical, a disaster risk reduction and water sanitation and hygiene campaign; Make the Children Dream Again Project, an advocacy to help children persevere in the challenges of education; and two more ongoing participatory research project entitled Conversa: Creating Safe Space for Open Conversation on Reproductive and Sexual Health amongst LGBTQIA+ community.

Integrated Performing Arts Guild

The Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG), resident theatre company of the MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), has significantly contributed to a nationally robust culture-and-arts environment. As catalyst that has enhanced a consciousness for Philippine Arts, IPAG has spread out its influences that cover creative production, education, craft enhancement, the management of creative resources, and social advocacy. IPAG— the Philippines’ most-travelled repertory company— has engaged thousands around the country and the globe. In over four decades, it has used the performing arts to link peoples and cultures. Its celebrated repertoire has performed in most parts of the Philippines and in over a hundred cities, among these in Hawaii, the U.S. Mainland, Europe, and Asia enthralling large audiences and building goodwill for the Philippines. Its prodigious rave reviews, awards, and acclamation of a storied 40+ years as a major ensemble is non-paralleled. Escola De Samba De Manila

If you are interested to join us for a regular health and wellness dance workout or to learn a new dance genre, Escola de Samba de Manila conducts SAMBA classes for female adults, male adults and for kids. The students participate in an annual dance recital and a whole lot of public and private events. It also has a professional samba dance group under the same name for public and private events. All SAMBA dance classes are conducted by Eileen Sison ( Founder, Dance Director, Choreographer), who is also the lead singer of Brazilian music band Guarana (Band Website: Eileen speaks Brazilian Portuguese and has been to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 3 times (twice for the annual Carnaval). Hiyas Kayumanggi

HIYAS KAYUMANGGI is a non-stock and non-profit organization that runs programs and events promoting the beauty and richness of Filipino art, culture and heritage. It is a group made up of creative imagineers from all walks of life and committed to artistic excellence, bringing into awareness the history and culture of the country geared toward the building of the nation through the next generation. The organization’s medium is primarily the use of theater that is distinctly Filipino, as a tool for bringing pride and honor in the country’s heritage. Hiyas Kayumanggi wants the country to return back to the grandeur and nobility that it had in Kingdom times, but feels it can no longer be accomplished in this generation. As F. Sionil Jose said, we are such a “damaged culture” that it will have to be the next generations that will raise the Philippines up again. The theatre production of the epic HINILAWOD is the organization’s pioneer effort to achieve the goals it has set for itself. It is a tall order; but the people behind Hiyas Kayumanggi have the hope that the country will one day get there.

Tanghalang Pilipino Foundation, Inc

Tanghalang Pilipino (TP) is the resident drama company of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Since its establishment in 1987, it has successfully presented 114 productions within 15 seasons while generating one of the best attendance records among the CCP’s resident companies. Tanghalang Pilipino challenges each Filipino to remain committed to his moral convictions, uphold what is right and just, and fulfill a social responsibility shared by all. Tanghalang Pilipino envisions raising Philippine theatre to heights of professional and artistic excellence, dedicated to developing and training actors, playwrights, and designers with particular emphasis on the production of original Filipino plays. By staging plays from the repertoire of the Philippine past and plays in translation from other countries, Tanghalang Pilipino hopes to bring to the experience of both artists and audiences the best of Philippine and global theater tradition. It looks forward to educating and awakening the cultural consciousness of Filipino audiences through its regular performances and other related activities like workshops, symposia, and interactions.

Vocalliance

VocAlliance is a group that springs from the need to effect positive change in an industry whose practices have been subverting both voice talents and studios for far too long. Now, more than ever, undercutting and devaluation is felt everywhere. Our community aims to mitigate this by helping standardize rates. We also realize that setting standards does not limit itself to just rates. It is high time that those regarded as the leaders, trailblazers, and the most respected voice talents in the industry do something about it. From just fending for themselves and acting like lone wolves, more are starting to see the benefits of banding together, sharing a vision and achieving it as a pack. We realize we have to earn credibility. Change must come from within and professionalism must be the norm. We plan to improve and grow both individually and as a community everyday. The group was created so that its members could help each other. Currently in the stage of developing workshops, we aim to aid our community in learning how to market themselves better, be more professional, and ultimately become more successful. We acknowledge the importance of aligning ourselves with organizations like the ASAP (Advertising Services Association of the Philippines), CAPG (Commercial Audio Production Houses Group) and others who share our vision of growth. We know we have the capability to help elevate the quality of voice-overs in our country. Our vision is to bring more work to everyone, to empower each member with the necessary skill sets and resources to be competitive not only in the Philippines but globally. Our end goal is to be able to provide clients and studios a network of highly qualified voice talents in an ecosystem that is not only intuitive, creative and innovative, but sustainable. A-Z Ballet Studio Naga City

We offer ballet classes for children, teens and adults. Our main objective is to provide opportunities for all interested students to learn ballet and perform/dance onstage. A corollary objective is to instill discipline to young children and older students because ballet is hard work and requires commitment, perseverance and determination. Teaching Method: In teaching Ballet, we take guidance from the Philippines Classical Ballet Syllabus (PCBS) authored by Madame Felicitas "Tita" Radaic and co-authored by Ms. Violeta Velasco and Mr. Noordin Jumalon. The PCBS combines the teachings of the British Royal Academy of Dance, the Russian Vaganova Method and the Italian Cecchetti Method - carefully designed for the Filipino physique. Our founder, Teacher Anna, is a Certified Ballet Teacher under PCBS since 2007 with subsequent trainings in 2011 and 2023. She received training from Madame Radaic and Ms. Vie from 2003 to 2012 and was Assistant Ballet Teacher at the St. Theresa's School of Classical Ballet from 2010-2012. Age Eligibility: We accept kids ages 3.5 and above. Teens and adults are also very much welcome to enroll.

Acts Manila

ACTS Manila is a group of more than 20 affiliate schools all over the Metropolis bound by a common vision for transformation for the honor of God and country. It has a faith-based performing company (ACTS Manila) and performing arts school that takes the message of God to different audiences. Its team of Directors are homegrown under Artistic Director, Chelo B. Gemina, ACBA. ACTS Manila is a faith-based ballet group. The dancers perform in theaters, malls, churches and private corporate engagements. They have an outreach arm that extends scholarships to the underprivileged/marginalized sector of the city. They have also traveled overseas on dance missions trips, the most recent of which was Laos, upon the invitation of the Philippine Embassy for Independence Day. ACTS Manila uses a Russian-based Vaganova syllabus and submits select dancers to international exams under the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet. Acts Manila is an affliation of Ballet teachers who believe that God given talents for the performing arts are key to the elimination of systemic poverty and the transformation of society. Malabon Banda Pula Original

Malabon, officially the City of Malabon (Filipino: Lungsod ng Malabon), is one of the cities and municipalities that make up Metro Manila in the Philippines. Located just north of Manila, the city has a population of 353,337 as of 2010.[1] It is primarily a residential and industrial town and is one of the most densely populated cities in the metropolis. It has a total land area of 19.714 square kilometers. Malabon is part of the sub-region of Metro Manila informally called CAMANAVA, which consists of CAloocan, MAlabon, NAvotas, and VAlenzuela cities. Caloocan lies to the south and east, Navotas to the west, and Valenzuela to the north. Malabon also borders the town of Obando in the province of Bulacan to the northwest.

Teatro De Letran

Currently celebrating its 43rd Founding Anniversary. Teatro de Letran aims to elevate the awareness of the Letran Community towards Arts Appreciation through the effective use of Theatrical Performances as a venue for Evangelization, Freedom of Expression and Social Awareness that is guided by the Colegio's Mission-Vision. A series of critically planned Artistic Development Program is set to begin for the remaining half of the school year for Teatro de Letran, with its Artistic Director's vision to expose the group in various Theater Festivals around the country as well as to bring prominent Theater Practitioners within the vicinity of the Colegio to give Artistic Trainings for the artistic development of the members.
