Clubbed Thumb
Clubbed Thumb commissions, develops and produces funny, strange and provocative new plays by living American writers. Since its founding in 1996, the company has earned five Obies including the Ross Wetzsteon Award for sustained artistic excellence. We have presented plays in every form of development, including over 90 full productions. Our plays vary in style and content, but are always intermission-less, 90 minutes or under, and un-produced in New York City. They feature substantial and challenging roles for both men and women, are questioning, formally inventive, theatrical, and, somewhere in the text, they contain a sense of humor. While our emphasis is emerging artists, we provide a home for artists at all stages of their careers to make unique work and take risks in a safe and well-supported environment. In 19 seasons many now well-established playwrights, including Sarah Ruhl, Gina Gionfriddo, Jordan Harrison, Lisa D’Amour and Rinne Groff made their New York and in some cases professional debut in Summerworks. Accolades awarded our alumni artists include the Pulitzer short-list, Tony, MacArthur, Steinberg, Kesselring, as well as numerous Susan Smith Blackburn, Guggenheim, Whiting and Obie Awards. In 2014 alone work that has been developed with Clubbed Thumb has been produced at Playwrights Horizons, Mark Taper Forum, Actor’s Theater of Louisville, South Coast Rep, Victory Gardens, Tricycle Theater in London, San Francisco Playhouse, and more.

Colorado Children's Chorale
Since 1974 the Colorado Children’s Chorale has brought its artistry and charm to audiences throughout the world. With a diverse repertoire ranging from fully-staged opera and musical theater to standard choral compositions in classical, folk and popular traditions, the Chorale performs with an innovative stage presentation and a unique theatrical spirit. In recognition of its artistic quality, the Chorale has received the Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts, the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts and the prestigious El Pomar Award for Excellence in Arts and Humanities. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Emily Crile and Executive Director Meg Steitz, the Colorado Children's Chorale annually trains 400 members between the ages of 7 and 14 from all ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds, representing more than 180 schools in the Denver metro area and beyond. Since its founding, the Chorale has sung countless performances with some of the world’s finest performing arts organizations, appeared with world-renowned artists, performed for numerous dignitaries and appeared in television and radio broadcasts. The Performance Program includes a series of self-produced concerts, numerous performances with other Colorado arts organizations and touring around the world. The Chorale presents annual Winter and Spring performances at Boettcher Concert Hall in the Denver Performing Arts Complex, plus several Community Concerts in venues across the metro area. Each season also includes collaborations with arts organizations such as: Colorado Symphony, Central City Opera, Opera Colorado, and others. In addition to the Performance Program, the Chorale offers an extensive mission-supporting Education Program. School Partnerships provide weekly choral music and performance training in schools, offering instruction to students and support for teachers with professional conductors, pianists, choreographers and other resources as needed.

The Concord Community Music School in Concord, New Hampshire provides private music lessons, music classes, music therapy, choruses, instrumental and vocal ensembles, early childhood music programs, summer music programs, and community outreach programs in classical, jazz and folk styles. Gifts to CCMS are used to share the joy of music with everyone and help ensure that financial considerations do not bar participation, community building, and education.

Conspirare
Conspirare was founded in 1991 and has grown rapidly to become an internationally recognized, professional choral organization that combines outstanding vocal artistry with innovative programming. Led by renowned founder and artistic director Craig Hella Johnson, Conspirare is comprised of two performing ensembles and an educational program. The professional chamber choir (“Conspirare” or "Company of Voices") of extraordinarily talented singers from around the country is presented in an annual concert series in Austin, other Texas communities, around the U.S. and abroad. The Conspirare Symphonic Choir of both professional and volunteer singers performs large choral/orchestral works. often in collaboration with other music organizations. The Conspirare Youth Choirs is an educational program for young singers ages 8-17, who learn and perform in two separate ensembles, Kantorei and Allegro (formerly Conspirare Children’s Choir). Conspirare is operated by 7 full-time and 8 part-time staff members and governed by a volunteer board of directors.

Cygnet Theatre
Cygnet Theatre is known for producing adventurous, entertaining and thought-provoking live professional theatre year round. Cygnet began life in 2003 as an edgy, thought-provoking start-up, producing high caliber work in a 165-seat house located in the Rolando area. Nearly half of all productions have been local premieres, as Cygnet believes strongly in bringing new voices to the community. These have been balanced with classics and musicals. The community response from the beginning was tremendous and Cygnet soon needed a larger venue. In 2008, Cygnet moved to the 248-seat Old Town Theatre in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, where Cygnet reaches over people annually and remains committed to bringing multiple unique voices to the stage. We can't wait to see what the future holds as the organization continues to grow.

Our extraordinary musicians and enthusiastic audiences celebrate the performance, promotion and preservation of the music and traditions of the American wind band.

Diablo Ballet
Diablo Ballet is an award-winning internationally recognized professional performing dance company committed to enriching, inspiring, enlightening, and educating children and adults through the art of dance. Diablo Ballet was founded in 1993 in order to address the absence of a professional ballet company in the region. The Company consists of dancers who have performed throughout the United States, Europe, and South America. Diablo Ballet has achieved artistic success capturing enthusiastic public response, critical acclaim, and international recognition. Known for world premieres and restaging of classic dance works, Diablo Ballet presents programs that range from contemporary to classical. Unlike most local dance companies, Diablo Ballet uses live music for its performance season. Diablo Ballet is also known for its acclaimed PEEK Youth Outreach Program. This one-of-a-kind program provides in-school arts education from Diablo Ballet dancers to thousands of elementary school students in under-served school districts in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties and young teens in Juvenile Hall. Dixon Place
A bastion for visionary artists since 1986, Dixon Place (DP) is a non-profit institution dedicated to supporting the development and presentation of original work in all genres of performing and literary arts. With an abiding commitment to racial justice and gender equity, diversity is a mandate and artist remuneration a priority. In a professional, compassionate environment, artists are inspired and encouraged to take risks, generate new ideas, and execute new practices. After DP was pioneered in its founder’s home, the organization and venue grew exponentially and in 2009 opened a sq. ft. physically accessible facility with a 120 seat, state-of-the-art theater and a cocktail lounge with an intimate performing space and art gallery, in downtown Manhattan.
