Challenge To Change
Challenge to Change is a Swiss non-profit association, catalyzing positive change for marginalized women in the Middle East and specifically those affected by conflict or war. Our mission is to Connect, Inspire and Empower women to transform challenges into positive change opportunities. Our vision is to develop a community of women who are resilient and successful. We are helping women to become aware of their rights and improve their mental wellbeing. We are a support network providing counselling, mentoring, coaching programs, and women circles. We are passionate about women’s’ social and economic empowerment. We are supporting women to create income generating opportunities to build better futures for themselves and their families. Every year thousands of women seek our support, each with their own story of loss, trauma, violence and/or other crippling disadvantages and challenges, driven by deep-rooted discrimination against women and stereotypical views about their ‘appropriate’ role in society. We have seen that, with our support, women can change their lives, break the marginalization cycles and seize opportunities to build better futures for themselves and their families. Get Involved and Help a Woman Change Her Life!

Who Foundation
Millions of people have little or no chance of good health, simply because of where they were born, live, or work. At the WHO Foundation, we think that’s unfair and must change. We are working to improve the situation by connecting donors with amazing organizations on the ground whose projects are making a huge difference to people’s lives. Our links with the WHO mean we can make these connections all over the world, ultimately making healthcare fairer. While we share WHO's vision of a world where health knows no boundaries, the WHO Foundation operates independently.

Jacobs Foundation
Whatever their background, all young people should have access to a high-quality education. Yet all too often, programs and interventions designed to improve a child’s learning and education provide one-size-fits-all instruction and are not rooted in evidence. Founded by Klaus J. Jacobs in 1989, the Jacobs Foundation’s vision is a world in which every child is given the evidence-based learning opportunities they need to thrive. To move closer to this vision, our flagship Strategy 2030 has pledged 500 million Swiss Francs to improve children’s learning and education by promoting the generation and translation of evidence into policy and practice. We accomplish this by funding research to understand how children learn, promoting the use of evidence in school practice and EdTech, and supporting countries to integrate evidence into education policy and implementation. Strategy 2030 is underpinned by an ambitious Research Agenda designed to advance our scientific understanding of childhood variability – how children vary day-to-day in their skills and behaviors, how they differ from their peers, and how they live and learn in different environments. By furthering the science of how children vary over time and contexts, we aim to support policymakers and educators in embracing variability and providing evidence-based learning opportunities that serve more children, more often.

Usthi Foundation
Usthi supports since 1976 underprivileged children and young people in India and Nepal through schooling and professional training, so that they can lead self-determined, financially independent lives. The prerequisite for this is good health, which is also supported by Usthi Foundation activities. Sustainability is an important aim of all Usthi projects, including economic sustainability. Therefore, Usthi places not only great importance on the independence of the beneficiary but also, in the mid-term, the achievement of the highest possible level of self-financing through the local partner organisation. Where we do it: Usthi is active in India and Nepal in the areas where, with the available means, the greatest impact can be achieved and where our support is most urgently needed. How we do it: Usthi operates professionally and with inclusive approaches: problems are addressed from multiple sides simultaneously, so that significant progress can be reached in the community concerned. Thus, in addition to an appropriate support of the beneficiary, projects include prevention and sensitisation work with the target groups and their environment. In order to encourage local acceptance and to aid establishment, the community is strongly involved with the project development. Usthi's objective is to have all projects running independently within a given time phase, so that they continue to function under local management and with local financing. For existing projects which currently run in cooperation with organisations. Usthi is responsible for 13 projects with about 400 local employees. More than 2’700 children and young people benefit from an education or professional skills training and about 60 orphans or semi-orphans from an affectionate home. In addition, Usthi is responsible for a health care system covering 133 villages in the tribal belt of Somagiri, Odisha.

Fondation D'harcourt
Fondation d’Harcourt was established upon the initiative of the d’Harcourt family in 1964 as an independent, non-profit foundation based in Geneva, Switzerland. We promote national and international projects and partnerships in the fields of mental health and psychosocial support. Our actions stem from the belief that primary needs are not only material. Addressing persons’ intangible needs is indeed also essential to their well-being and dignity. Our mission is to improve the lives of people struggling with mental illness and their families. Our holistic approach helps them unlock their full potential, function in society, and give something back to their communities. Given that certain social conditions increase the risk of mental illness, we also work towards prevention by providing psychosocial support to those who are most vulnerable. Fondation d’Harcourt provides grants to organizations with specific expertise in mental health or psychosocial support to implement projects on the ground. Our partnership vision goes beyond financial resources: we see it as a personal relationship, which provides for ongoing learning. Regular steering committees allow us to take part in major management decisions and bring our contacts, skills and knowledge to the table. This collaboration facilitates open and critical dialogue with our partners as well as joint reflection on innovative approaches to improve our work.
