Global Resource Alliance - Tanzania (GRA - Tanzania) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization (NGO) established in Tanzania since 2008. GRA – Tanzania’s mission is dedicated to bringing hope, joy and abundance in the Mara region with simple, natural and affordable solutions to the challenges of poverty, hunger and disease. In order to achieve this, we are implementing various assistance programs to meet the needs of the inhabitants of the region: help for orphans, reforestation, medical remedies based on plants and permaculture.

Pds Perspective Development Skills

Perspective Development Skills (PDS) also known as PDS Zanzibar is a Charitable Organization located in Kibele village, Tunguu, Zanzibar, Tanzania. It has been registered in 2017 under the Societies Act No.6 of 1995 - Zanzibar, Tanzania and its registration number is L.2712. Zanzibar is an island of extreme poverty where the majority of the population is unemployed. The main objective of PDS Charitable Organization is therefore to create jobs. In order to achieve this goal, we help people living in rural areas of Zanzibar by providing them with skills and free access to additional education. We mainly target women and youth, who are the most affected by unemployment.

Good Hope Support Organization

Good Hope is a women-led grassroots community organization located in Moshi, Tanzania. The organization was founded in October 2011. Our NGO has a focus on teenage girls and seeks to eliminate education inequality. We provide a pre school program for children from the age of four and a stepping stone program for teenagers from impoverished families who slipped through the net of Tanzania’s education system. We offer free on-site schooling for primary-school drop-outs, secondary school and vocational training scholarships, and close family and career counseling with students enrolled in our programs and their families. Up to today, Good Hope has welcomed more than 250 students in the on-site teaching program and we have awarded 69 students with a school and/or training scholarship up to university education.(Last updated April 2022)

Neema International

Neema International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to investing in the lives of Tanzania's promising youth through education and sustainable building projects. Our work is based in Uru, a remote and impoverished village at the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Neema currently supports over 200 orphaned or vulnerable children from the community and has provided jobs for over 50 local men and women. With no affordable daycare or pre-primary schooling in the area, most children do not start school until they enter government funded primary schools at the age of six or seven, which as research shows is well past the most critical years for child development.It is for these reasons that Neema International created Uru Academy, the first-ever sponsored early childhood education center for children ages 1 to 7. At Uru Academy, we have created a safe and nurturing environment where children are free to be themselves, grow, and make mistakes without the fear of corporal punishment that stunts the development of so many children across the country. In addition to receiving a free, high-quality education with a student to teacher ratio of 5:1, the Uru students are also given proper nutrition, healthcare, clothing and other basic needs their families cannot afford. Uru Academy is funded by Neema International's Education Sponsorship Program (NIESP). Each child is matched with an individual outside sponsor who donates the funds to cover the child's tuition and needs. NIESP continues to sponsor these children once they graduate from Uru Academy and pays for their fees at private schools outside of the village that offer the same quality education as Uru Academy for secondary school, high school, and through to the completion of their university years. We additionally built and manage a children’s home in Uru. We are committed to ensuring that all our children are given the opportunity to reach their fullest potential and become productive members of their communities.

House Of Blue Hope

Overcoming poverty through education…One child at a time. House Program: The House of Blue Hope's main program is our housing program. We support a minimum of ten boys at a time and they live in our facility with the support of several staff members and volunteers. The housing program not only includes the basic necessities such as shelter, food, water, clothes and school fees. We have also set up educational programs in addition to school learning such as hygiene, computer class, sex education if old enough, testing for std/HIV (which may have been transmitted from child's mother), sports and recreation and additional English classes. Outreach Program: The House of Blue Hope Outreach program supports street children that have family, but are still in need of aid to be successful in school. We provide the necessary supplies for schooling: books, pens, pencils, workbooks, uniforms and solar powered lamps. We also provide the support from our staff and volunteers. In some cases, we will pay for the children's school fees. Special Cases: Because of our presence in the community and continuing effort to make ourselves and our mission known in Dar es Salaam, sometimes a child will find him or herself at our door in need of help. If we are able to help, we take the child on as a special case. Sometimes this can be as simple as giving them pencils for school while other times it means we support a youth through vocational training.

Fruitful Orphanage And Day Care Centre

Fruitful Orphanage was established in 2014 by Isaac John Sumary, who is also the director of the Center. It is located on the outskirts of Arusha, Tanzania and currently supports around 70 children who lost one or both parents through poverty or diseases. All children in need are supported by the orphanage, regardless of their tribe, religion and gender. Our vision is to create a peaceful society where everyone has access to food, water and education. Vision: Have a peaceful society where children develop to their full basic needs and live a productive life. For sure we will be so much happy to get support from different people around the world so that to let these children meet their goal. Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project An Initiative Of The Kilimanjaro Responsible Trekking Org

KPAP is an initiative of the International Mountain Explorers Connection (IMEC), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based out of Boulder, Colorado in the United States. IMEC instituted the Partner for Responsible Travel Program to recognize climbing companies with responsible treatment practices. KPAP monitors the company’s treatment practices to determine if a company is meeting the proper treatment guidelines. Monitoring activities take place year-round and include: Porter Questionnaires and Interviews Examination of partner company’s salary distribution methods Review of partner company’s tipping procedure Audit and reporting by a KPAP porter investigative porter on all partner company climbs Providing feedback and suggestions for improvements KPAP educates climbers with fundamental information concerning proper porter treatment and advocates climbers to make an informed decision in choosing a socially responsible climbing company. The Partner for Responsible Travel Program has proven to be instrumental in facilitating improvements of porter treatment on Mount Kilimanjaro. KPAP collects seasonal data on porter treatment including porter wages, tipping, bag weight, food provision and tent accommodation. This data is reported annually to Tanzanian government authorities and tour operator associations as well as companies participating with the Partner for Responsible Travel Program. Seed Change Tanzania

Seed Change is a non-profit organisation growing sustainable opportunities for small-holder farmers in Tanzania. In the Kigoma region of Tanzania there are over small-holder farmers who derive the majority of their income from cultivating oil palm trees and extracting and selling palm oil. Despite cultivating a very lucrative crop, the vast majority of farmers and their families live in poverty and rely on agriculture to carve out a subsistence living. Seed Change collaborates with local government, other NGOs, and the private sector to achieve our goal of lifting these farmers out of poverty. We are committed to farmers and their families; it starts and ends with them.

The Miriam Odemba Foundation aims to create sustainable solutions for challenges facing African and in particular, Tanzanian women and children. Builders Of Future Africa

As poverty rages #Africa,We youths are actively reaching communities with Education|Health|Livelihood|Empowerment|@bfatanzania For #Child #Youth Builders Of Future Africa Is an NGO established by passionate youths 2011 in Tanzania, after observing high levels of poverty and the low life standards of children in the local communities which has consequently led to problems such as lack of scholastic materials, poor parental care, lack of food, shelter and clothing as well as horrifying life testimonies. All these problems combined called for a collective effort to come up with solutions thus the birth of (B.F. A). We are counting 400+ children with health insurance, character moulding and 150 are provided with a full scholarship. Having been empowered by the leadership program of the academy, the students felt they would part of the solution rather than promoters of the problem. This marked the birth of Builders of Future Africa. The organization was once named as Builders of Hope in Africa but during official registration, we had to change it to Builders of Future Africa, Still, our chapters in other countries like Uganda, Rwanda and South Sudan are using Builders of Hope in Africa. We believe in a community that people are engaging in solving their won challenges rather than being observers and blamers. The idea is to inspire youths to take the chance of developing their communities by Giving back with even the little they have. “UBUNTU”. 85% Of all BFA Members are youths who are in high schools and university students. Members are youths from all backgrounds who decided to put their differences off and working together despite religious, tribes, education and all other forms of division.

Wildlife Conservation Foundation Of Tanzania

Created in 1985 by Gérard Pasanisi, the Wildlife Conservation Foundation of Tanzania aims to protect Tanzania's unique wildlife heritage. With its 12 national parks and numerous Game Reserves, Tanzania has one of the unique ecosystems of the world and hosts one of the largest concentrations of elephants, making it a prime target for poachers. Thanks to the Wildlife Conservation Foundation of Tanzania and local authorities, the two main poaching networks in Tanzania but also in Kenya and Mozambique have been dismantled. Despite this protection, the African Bush Elephant is listed, since March 2021, as "endangered" on the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Red List of Threatened Species. It is critical that to save this species from extinction. Elephant poaching, engaged in a cruel way, is the greatest threat to elephants’ survival. To fuel the ivory illegal trade, it has increased dramatically these last years. From 1989 to 2020, more than elephants were killed. Men are fighting out in the field to protect them, sometimes risking their lives. It is a real Ivory War that is being waged out there and we need your support to allow their actions to continue. WCFT act in the field by funding mobile anti-poaching units, hence accelerating the roll-out of policing in Tanzania national parks; providing patrols with vehicles and fuel; upgrading equipments (radios, satellite phones, drones, GPS.) and training rangers units how to use them effectively or also by subsidizing campaigns to raise public awareness locally. We are the Erick Memorial Foundation for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Disabled (EMFERD). We are a non-profit based in the Morogoro region of Tanzania, and we work with vulnerable children and their families to help ensure the safety and continued wellbeing of children with disability, children whose lives have been touched by disability, and children who are made vulnerable by other circumstance. Our mission is simple but vital: We aim to alleviate the suffering experienced by Tanzania's MVCs (Most Vulnerable Children), specifically those whose lives are touched by poverty and disability. We believe that every single individual is deserving of love, respect, and equal treatment - under both the law and society at large. Every individual has a potential that is unique to them, and it is our responsibility to help ensure that those who are often discriminated against - those with a disability - are empowered to achieve to the greatest of their extent. We have two homes, where we are responsible for the total welfare of over 30 MVCs, and we also work in our wider community to help support individuals with a disability at their homes.

Our Non Governative Organization has been founded in Tanzania on February 27th, 2018. The founders are three members of the Maasai Community of Baraka (Mto Wa Mbu, Arusha) two Tanzanian lawyers and Nicola Maguolo, the Italian project coordinator of the group. Smiley Hand Organization Tanzania was born to promote projects for education and health for children. Smiley Hand Organization Tanzania works in the area of Mto Wa Mbu, Kigongoni and Baraka where- suports the School Enyorata, a pre primary school built in the Maasai area of Baraka- collaborates with the primary school of Baraka and Ngalawa School of Majengo with English and information technology courses- collaborates with the Pambazuka Special Education Center, a center for children suffering with disability- teaches Italian, computer, micro economics and English, courses open to all the community at the Mto Wa Mbu Cultural Center.

Our Communities Assist family is dedicated to transforming lives and communities in need. Since our inception in 2006 we have been working with experts from Australia and abroad to teach and facilitate sustainable practice within the communities of Africa - primarily at our developmental aid project, Rainbow Ridge which is located at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Through working and collaborating with local communities, we hope to be the seed of change in alleviating the effects of poverty and the AIDS epidemic.
