A Heart For China

On 25 April 2015, an earthquake in Nepal, east of Gorkha District, killed nearly people and injured nearly Hundreds of thousands of people were left homeless and whole villages were leveled across many districts of the country. In the folowing hours and days worldwide aid was offered to the country and its population. Rescue and medical teams were send to the afflicted area with medical supplies, food, water and other life-saving items. Donations were gathered in many countries of the world to send to Nepal. The humanitarion response was tremendous! It was on the evening of 29 April 2015 that I asked myself why we are often roused to help others only in the wake of a disaster. At that moment, it struck me to do something good and simple for the people around me in the country and city that I was living in: Shenzhen, China. I quickly created a group on WeChat, the largest Chinese social media platform, to gather more like-minded people looking to give back to their community. And so, A Heart for China (AHFC) was born. AHFC has grown into an international charity volunteer group that helps the poor, the elderly, autistic and disabled children, orphans and the helpless in China who need aid and affection. The idea was to donate our time by doing volunteer work and and providing warmth, love and appreciation to those in need. The organization A Heart for China was officially founded on May 5th, 2015 by Ronny Verdoodt, Belgium, and has since organized over 110 events. Nearly every weekend, our volunteers visit rehabilitation centers for special-needs children and nursing homes for the elderly to accompany them, chat, play games and organize fun performances. When possible, we offer ideas for improvements to the centers and provide essential daily items or donations. Our group has been featured by several media outlets in China, and many partner organizations have helped us spread our message of love and positivity to inspire more people.

Sunshine Project, as a public-minded member of student clubs in NWPU, aims to helpstudentsin poor areas by offering aid educations.

Beijing Kangxing Foundation was established on October 12, 2018. It was registered and established by the Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau. Its business scope is to subsidize the lives of poor families, subsidize medical treatment for poor patients, subsidize poor students to go to school, subsidize poor school infrastructure improvement, and subsidize nature Disaster relief activities. The name of the foundation is "Kang Xing", and its meaning is to enable the poor to have equal and healthy rights in life, and to work together to help achieve the goal of a well-off society in an all-round way. Mission Use actions to create a public welfare platform for co-construction and sharing to help realize a well-off society in an all-round way Vision A healthy heart is fearless, and a walker has no boundaries Purpose For the purpose of carrying out charitable activities, not for profit Promote the development of public welfare undertakings by funding public welfare projects such as poverty alleviation Beijing Kangxing Foundation actively responds to the call of the party and the government, and strives to build a joint and shared public welfare platform to provide medical subsidies for the poor, supplemented by exchange activities, promote the interaction of stakeholders in this field, and gather the capital's social charity forces. Form a joint force to serve the development of public welfare undertakings and work hard to realize a well-off society in an all-round way.

林荫公益 Futurechina Ngo

is an NGO dedicated to eliminate the unbalanced distribution of education resources in China. To solve the problem of unequal distribution of educational resources, we designed a series of activities and programs to help. We tend to promote the education resources sharing system from both the curricular and extracurricular perspectives. Our programs include: FutureChina Online Education “Welfare Class”, FuthreChina Public-Welfare Camp of Individual Development, Hand-in-hand Mentor Plan, “Going into the World” Plan, Public-Welfare Book Publication Plan, Online Letures, etc. FutureChina has already helped nearly one hundred students, and established a network covering families and students in Southwest China. In the meantime, FutureChina is calling for an equal distribution of educational resourced on the international stage. Our delegates have attended Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations and Youth Assembly at UN, and participating in the drafting of APEC Youth Declaration. We were also invited to give a speech the Future China Education Forum at Columbia University. In this year’s Two Sessions in Sichuan Province, the resolution signed by FutureChina will promote poverty-supporting in education of this region.
