Foundation For A Drug Free World Hungary
A global problem, drug abuse demands a global solution. “Research has demonstrated that the single most destructive element present in our current culture is drugs.” Because young people presented with the unvarnished facts about what drugs can do are far more likely to reject them on their own, Truth About Drugs is in high demand as an educational tool in schools, law enforcement units and community-based settings. More than 62 million educational booklets have been distributed, and public service announcements have reached more than 260 million viewers in 123 countries. Education is best tool in fight against drug abuse The Foundation for a Drug-Free World is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Los Angeles, California, and dedicated to the eradication of illicit drugs, their abuse and their attendant criminality. The Drug-Free World campaign is predicated on the statistically proven fact that wherever young people are presented with the unvarnished “truth about drugs,” illicit usage drops. Accordingly, the Drug-Free World information and prevention campaign features thirteen Truth About Drugs booklets—one for each of the most commonly abused substances. Campaign materials also include an Educator’s Kit to provide teachers, law enforcement and community groups effective tools to help young people make the right decision. Incisive public service announcements and documentary videos complement The Truth About Drugs series—ninety minutes on every drug of choice from those who have been there. The Hungarian chapter of the Foundation is in Budapest.

THBE is a membership association based in Budapest, focusing on the CEE region and involves individuals and organizations interested in or practicing impact investing or venture philanthropy. The association is pursuing it's mission to evangelize the impact focused, high-engagement investment strategy and is building a network of committed investors and supporters. Social impact investors realize their impact through investing in social enterprises that challenge societal issues in an innovative and sustainable way. A Társadalmi Hasznosságú Befektetők Egyesülete (THBE) azon befektetői szemléletmódot hívatott erősíteni, hogy a befektetési döntések azok társadalmi, környezeti és kulturális hatásainak figyelembevételével szülessenek. A társadalmi hasznosságú befektető a befektetett tőke eredményes megtérülésével egynértékű célként tekint a befektetés társadalmi haszon- és értékteremtésére. A befektető olyan társadalmi vállalkozásokba történő befektetésével érheti el impactját, akik a különböző társadalmi kihívásokra fenntartható és innovatív megoldást válaszolnak. Az egyesület budapesti központtal a kelet-közép-európai régióra koncentrálva végzi evangelizációs, edukációs és network építő tevékenységét, összefogva a társadalmi hasznosságú befektetési stratégia iránt érdeklődő és gyakorló egyéneket és szervezeteket.
