4-H Foundation Kenya
The Four H Foundation (Kenya)[4-H Kenya] was founded with inspiration from the Global family of 4-H and the Global Clover Network. Its main purpose is to empower Kenya’s youth with the necessary skills and supportive environment they need in order to realize their potential to address Kenya’s and Africa’s food security and livelihood challenges. The foundation is spearheading a Green Revolution in Kenya by the youth, in the hopes that this shall spread across the continent. Our broad objectives in Agriculture and food security intervention include: 1) To transform the image of Agriculture in the eyes of the young generation, Exposing the youth to more than diverse careers along the value chain through vibrant 4-H clubs in schools and within communities. 2) To focus youth innovations in technology to better catalyze the growth of a vibrant agribusiness sector, through business incubation, and strategic partnerships with research, academic and corporate partnerships. 3) To Promote smarter organization of the youth actors in the sector to enable youth enterprises to benefit from economies of scale and improved productivity 4) To develop youth to be responsible leaders who can champion solutions for various problems the Nation faces (e.g. Corruption, Youth Unemployment, Health e.t.c) 5) Address Policy gaps that form barriers to Youth in Agriculture, e.g. access to Land and Capital for Agribusiness. 6) To establish Agribusiness Mentorship Centres of excellence which transform the way communities understand and engage in Agribusiness

Thyroid Disease Awareness Kenya Foundation Tdak
Thyroid hormones are essential for growth, neuronal development, reproduction and regulation of energy metabolism. Hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism are common conditions with potentially devastating health consequences that affect all populations worldwide. Iodine nutrition is a key determinant of thyroid disease risk; however, other factors, such as environmental factors, genetic susceptibility, ethnicity, determine the epidemiology of thyroid disease. Thyroid disease is a global health problem that can substantially impact the overall well-being of the sufferers. In advanced economies, the prevalence of undiagnosed thyroid disease is falling owing to widespread thyroid function testing and relatively low thresholds for treatment initiation, a variety of options of different approaches of treating thyroid disease. However, In Emerging Economies, and developing countries, like Africa, the concept of thyroid disease testing is still a very foreign concept, and because of this, The extent of autoimmune thyroid disorders In Africa remains unknown because of underdiagnoses and underreporting. Thyroid disorders are becoming common in Africa and mostly arise from environmental and nutritional factors, representing a severe public health problem in several countries of the sub-Saharan area, and East African countries such as Kenya. In Sub Saharan Africa, where most of the countries are Low- Middle-Income Countries(LMIC) the privilege of having different types of treatment options to treat different forms of thyroid disease is not there, and therefore, only the use of generic antithyroid drugs, and limited types of thyroid surgeries are the most common forms of treatment of thyroid disorders. Here at TDAK, we are passionate to work in helping people understand the concepts of thyroid disease through education and creating awareness. We also aim to ensure that the treatment options available are of optimum quality, affordable and accessible to all Kenyans.

Angels Of Hope Kibera
Angels of Hope, Kibera is a community-based organization that was started in 2011. The organization initially started as a feeding program in Soweto East, Kibera and aimed at achieving community development, eliminating hunger, homelessness, illiteracy, and caring for those affected with HIV/AIDS. The feeding program started by providing two meals a day (i.e. breakfast and lunch) for over 40 children living in Kibera. Today, the organization works towards guaranteeing access to improved conditions for life for orphans and vulnerable children and their guardians in Kibera Slums. The centre cares for approximately 60 children providing basic education, a feeding program, medication and shelter for the homeless.

We are a holistic community program that is educating children and empowering families in Kenya. Our programs not only engage children and youth, but also empower parents, driving change throughout the whole community. We believe that the key to success is being completely self sustainable and eliminating the reliance on donors. In 2016 we founded our Social Enterprise, Organic Savanna, an all natural, african skincare range of which 100% of proceeds fund the programmes at the Karibu Centre.
