Duffy Books In Homes
Duffy Books in Homes is dedicated to nurturing a love for reading among New Zealand's tamariki. We provide over children in nearly 530 lower-decile schools and more than 280 Early Childhood centres with free books three times a year. Our mission is to break the cycle of booklessness by instilling a passion for reading in Duffy tamariki, fostering future generations of avid readers and leaders. Research underscores our impact: historically schools in our program have seen reading scores improve by up to 35%. Now, tamariki in Duffy schools maintain their reading achievements over the summer holidays, a challenge faced by many others. We take pride in our role as an integral part of school literacy programs, offering tamariki something they can cherish and pass down through generations. Witnessing the original 'Duffy Kids' now passing on their love of reading to their own children is among our greatest rewards. Want to join us in making a lasting impact? Your support will help us to inspire young minds, enabling them to dream big and achieve even bigger. Visit our website to learn how you can make a difference today.

The Christchurch Foundation
The Christchurch Foundation helps create, support and build the foundations for a better Ōtautahi Christchurch, and the surrounding Selwyn and Waimakriri Districts. Community (City) Foundations are relatively common-place around the world and many other regions in New Zealand have recognised the need for a “place-based” charitable organisation to enable donors to give directly to their city or region. The Christchurch Foundation actively collects, manages and distributes funds for community projects, charities, causes and not-for-profits (both large and small) in delivering the important work that they provide. A wide range of giving programmes is available to enable contributions to the long-term good of communities, such as bequests, endowments, diaspora or expat giving and corporate partner programmes. Donors’ contributions can be ‘ tagged’ to a sector (e.g. recreation and sport community projects), community within the geographic area (e.g. Opawa) or to a range of charities. Contributions could also be ‘ untagged’ and spent at the discretion of the Foundation Trustees under a developed set of policies. The Foundation will always ensure donor wishes are met.

Effective Altruism Auckland
Effective altruism is a philosophy and growing social movement that applies evidence and analysis to determine the most effective ways to improve the world. Many people want to make the world a better place, but not all good-intentioned acts have the same impact. Some have no discernible impact, some actually make things worse, but the very best actions can make an incredibly large difference. By seeking and acting on evidence and using critical thinking we can all make a significant positive impact on the world.
