Photolab Premium Digital Image Services & Quality Printing
Photolab is one of the oldest and well known photo laboratories in Greece. Founded in 1979 by Nikos Actidis, a great pioneer in the photo market. Next generation of the family has now take the lead. His son Stratos, is now running the business. In the beginning, darkrooms, enlargers, plenty of chemical baths, paper and film developer machines were our daily routine. Nevertheless Photolab was the only laboratory in Greece, which installed the famous digital enlarger produced by Durst Phototechnik AG. It was a great step forward, for the low digital standards of that period. The next step took place in the early 90’s when digital season was rising up. Photolab took the risk and installed one of the first ink jet plotters. Scanners, ink jet plotters and entry Macintosh PCs, replaced darkrooms, enlargers and developer machines. All, except from the paper developer, which remains until now the production partner of our Lambda. That was exactly the next huge step. Nikos Actidis decide at the end of 90's, that the period of analogical photography has been ended. Photolab installed on 10/99, the first Lambda in Greece and launched the new digital season. The high quality large format digital printing has been combined with the analog philosophy and developing. Now days Photolab has a complete range of digital printers and peripherals. New powerful scanners, redesigned Mac Pro, digital minilabs, eco solvent plotters, pickment plotters, UV plotters, cutter router and much more. Furthermore, monitor calibrators, output icc profile generators and the specialized staff, guarantees the final result.
