Pharmaceutical Society Of Papua New Guinea
Welcome to the official and verified page of the Pharmaceutical Society of Papua New Guinea (PSPNG)- a professional organisation established in 2004 to support pharmacists and enhance pharmaceutical services across the country. We advocate for the pharmacy profession, raise public awareness of pharmacists’ vital role in healthcare, and promote the responsible use of medicines. Our work includes capacity building, professional development, and policy dialogue with healthcare partners and authorities. As the national voice for pharmacists, PSPNG provides a platform for professional networking, knowledge sharing, and continuing education. Through workshops, conferences, and training programs, we equip pharmacists to meet evolving healthcare needs and deliver safe, ethical, and effective services. We also work to build public trust in pharmacy by promoting awareness of pharmacists’ contributions to medication safety, chronic disease management, and access to essential medicines. Our outreach efforts aim to strengthen the connection between pharmacists and the communities they serve. PSPNG is committed to building strong partnerships across all sectors that influence healthcare. We collaborate with government agencies, academic institutions, international partners, and the private sector in Papua New Guinea. The private sector includes pharmacies, pharmaceutical suppliers, and healthcare businesses. By working together, we promote best practices, influence policy, and ensure that pharmaceutical care is accessible, high-quality, and responsive to the needs of all Papua New Guineans.
