Metro Dublin
For over 110 years, Dublin has envisioned an underground rail system but remains one of only five EU capitals without a metro, joining Valletta, Luxembourg City, Nicosia, and Ljubljana. While much of Europe has embraced modern transit solutions, Dublin has been held back by delays, broken promises, and rising costs—creating a persistent “CAN’T DO” mentality. This stagnation fuels pollution from half a billion car journeys annually, underscoring the urgent need for change. 62 Stations, 95km, 6 Integrated Lines Metro for Dublin. Metro Dublin is not just a transit project; it is a cornerstone for economic, social, and environmental progress. It offers a critical and valuable asset for governments, investors, contractors, rail operators, and suppliers, fostering partnerships that deliver significant economic opportunities and meaningful societal change. For the public, Metro Dublin promises improved mobility, reduced congestion, and an enhanced quality of life. This project envisions Dublin as a sustainable, competitive, and globally connected city. By tackling longstanding challenges, Metro Dublin ensures measurable economic, social, and environmental benefits, securing Dublin’s place among modern, forward-thinking urban centres.
