Through their committed workers and volunteers the commissions provide ministry, outreach and care to Anglicans and the wider community. From parishes and schools to residential care facilities, community care and social service programs to theological education and financial services each commission undertakes a significant part of the Church’s work.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney exists to serve the People of God in the city of Sydney, including the Eastern, Southern, inner-Western and South-Western suburbs and the suburbs of the lower-North Shore. The Catholic Diocese of Parramatta was created by Pope John Paul II on 8 April 1986. The Diocese is home to around Catholics in one of the fastest-growing areas of New South Wales, Australia. The Diocese of Parramatta is west of Sydney and covers 4,289 sq km, reaching from Dundas Valley, west to Megalong Valley, south to Luddenham, and north to Wiseman's Ferry.The Diocese is made up of 47 parishes.
