Starting as a solar energy provider (under the name Step Solar), our initial focus was on delivering renewable solar energy solutions. Georgian Energy Development Fund
Georgian Energy Development Fund (GEDF) is a joint stock company established by Government of Georgia (GoG) on December 13, 2010. GEDF is created in order to serve as an investable vehicle in renewable energy project in Georgia and in the CEE region. Georgian Energy Development Fund (GEDF or the Fund) was established in 2010 by the Government of Georgia to facilitate investment in and development of the country’s renewable energy sector. GEDF employees an experienced investment team with an intimate knowledge of the region, energy markets and sector expertise. Core activities: Identification and analysis of potential “greenfield” hydropower plant development sites including river-basin planning – and investigation of other renewable energy projects in Georgia; Jointly – with a private investors – develop projects with an exit option for the Fund at various stages of development; Support developing energy projects; Finance initial costs related to the development of identified energy projects; Facilitate project investment promotion; Support potential financing arrangements with international financial institutions and/or private financial entities; Provide risk mitigation support for investors regarding project development (PPA, financial planning, legal risks, etc.); GEDF is committed to supplying clean and renewable energy in support of the economic and social development of the country by development of the abundant energy resources. Growing energy demand in Georgia and neighboring countries shows the lucrative opportunities in energy sales within the country as well as in export.

Qartli Wind Farm Llc
Qartli Wind Farm” LLC (hereinafter “company”) represents the company based on JSC “Georgian Energy Development Fund” (50.1%) and JSC “Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (49.9%) participation that has completed first Wind Farm project (hereinafter “project”) in Gori-Kareli Municipalities in 2016 in Georgia. The install capacity of the wind farm is 20.7 MW and the average annual production is 84, 1 GWh.
