There is nine times more water in the air in all the oceans of the world and our Water From Air machines are harvesting this humidity and converting it into purified drinking water - 30 litres per day to be exact. The machines draw in air, cool it and then sanitise the water from condensation through ultra violet light before passing it through a filtration process - all in one machine. ACED has secured grid connection for 475MW of Solar PV Projects in South Africa with a further 735MW of Wind in advanced stages of development and nearing deployment readiness, as well as a 20MW Solar PV Eswatini Project, heading towards financial close before the end of 2025. This track record of installed capacity ranks ACED as the most successful renewable energy developer in the South African market to date and corresponds to the ACED team having played a key role in unlocking renewable energy developments with a capex value of over ZAR 48bil (US$ 2.6bil). ACED is 50% owned by the African Infrastructure Investment Managers (Pty) Ltd and 25% by the Infrastructural, Developmental and Environmental Assets Managed Fund (IDEAS) from Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (South Africa) Ltd, with the balance held by Management.
