Founded in 1996, Toronto Memory Program is a multidisciplinary, community based, medical facility specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. We have one of the largest clinical trial programs for Alzheimer’s disease in the country. Our program serves the interests of patients and stakeholders locally, nationally and internationally. Our medical director, Dr. Sharon Cohen, is a Canadian-trained neurologist specializing in behaviour and cognition and an internationally recognized expert in this field.

Aerospace And Compressible Flow Research Aero-Core Group - University Of Calgary
AERO-CORE Group is a large, vibrant, and experienced research group, located in the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary, with the mission of bringing vehicle concepts to flight. AERO-CORE Group along with industry and government partners develop scientific and technological advancements focused on problems related to high-speed compressible flow, and high-speed propulsion/aerodynamics for rockets and aircraft. Testing methods include non-intrusive visualization (laser particle velocimetry and high-speed schlieren photography), flight tests, engine test cells, rocket static firings, shock-tunnel tests, wind-tunnel tests, computational fluid dynamics simulations, multi-disciplinary design optimizations, and theoretical analyses. In-house manufacturing capabilities including a metal lathe, CNC mills, and 3D printers are used to quickly bring ideas from concept to experimentation and prototype.

The Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre (ACLRC) undertakes research on contemporary civil liberties and human rights issues that are of concern to Albertans. The projects are diverse - from proposals for reform of human rights legislation, to a report on citizen complaints about police conduct, to a manual for lawyers who represent mentally disabled clients. The Research Centre also responds to members of the public who call with questions about civil liberties and human rights. We receive hundreds of calls every year, and we provide information or refer callers to other resources. We do not provide legal advice.

Anishinabek Ontario Fisheries Resource Centre
The Anishinabek/Ontario Fisheries Resource Centre is a not-for-profit corporation providing research and technical support in the fields of fisheries and natural resource management to the 39 First Nations of the Anishinabek Nation. The Centre's headquarters are in North Bay, Ontario. The Centre is a product of the 1993 Anishinabek Conservation and Fishing Agreement between the Crown as represented by the Ontario Minister of Natural Resources and the Ontario Minister Responsible for Aboriginal Affairs and the Anishinabek Nation as represented by the Union of Ontario Indians. The agreement arose out of a period of tense and occasionally violent disagreements across Canada between First Nations using fish resources on the one side and non-indigenous members of the public and the Crown on the other. The Centre was formally incorporated in 1995 and has served as an independent source of information about the resource since then. Most of its work is undertaken at the request of First Nations belonging to the Anishinabek Nation. The A/OFRC is governed by a board of nine directors comprising four appointees from the Province of Ontario, four appointees from the Anishinabek Nation and a jointly appointed Chair.

To reduce the burden of injury in BC, the BCIRPU was established to support the development of policies and programs through research, surveillance, and the translation of evidence and knowledge to researchers, policy makers, practitioners, and the public. The BCIRPU is a unique entity supported by a province-wide partnership between the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute, Ministry of Health, Provincial Health Services Authority, BC Children’s Hospital, and University of British Columbia (UBC). Child-Bright Network
The CHILD-BRIGHT Network is a pan-Canadian patient-oriented research network based at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre. Created in 2016, it works to create brighter futures for children and youth with brain-based developmental disabilities and their families. Funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) under Canada’s Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) and 15 funding partners across the country, our national network includes 500 researchers, clinicians, decision-makers, youth, and parents. CHILD-BRIGHT’s extensive research program was developed based on research priorities identified by youth, parents, and other knowledge users such as frontline clinicians and health care administrators. From 2016 to 2022, CHILD-BRIGHT carried out 13 multi-centre projects focusing on three themes: early intervention to promote brain and child development; strategies to support the mental health of children and families; and service delivery redesign to address gaps in service. From 2022 to 2026, CHILD-BRIGHT will move its patient-oriented research into action through insight and methods grounded in implementation science and knowledge mobilization, and by embedding the principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, decolonization and Indigenization.
