Apply Lab
Our lab is in the Psychology Department at the University of Toronto Mississauga. We study visual perception and its application to real-world problems. The lab is run by Dr. Benjamin Wolfe and Dr. Anna Kosovicheva, housing their specific research programs, and takes a use-inspired approach to vision science and cognitive psychology research, looking to the world for problems that can benefit from a vision science approach and that can, in turn, tell us about how visual perception works.

Welcome To CAMiLoD! Who are we? CAMiloD is a recent imaging research facility, that embarked in 2019, at the University of Toronto, under the Faculty of Dentistry. The Collaborative Advanced Microscopy Laboratories of Dentistry (CAMiLoD) provides an integrated, state-of-the-art imaging facility that fosters collaborations within the Faculty of Dentistry (FoD), with the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) research community, and with industry partners. It houses some of the world's most innovative and best microscopic equipment. What Makes Us Unique? CAMiLoD is the only imaging facility in Canada that employs a dedicated imaging analysis expert, who not only advises users on imaging problems but educates the next generation of researchers. The teaching philosophy of CAMiLoD is to provide instrument users with a deep understanding of imaging principles. CAMiLoD offers innovative imaging technology to study and analyze cells, tissues, and materials at all levels of resolution, including live-cell atomic force microscopy (AFM) combined with confocal microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), latest high-speed and super-resolution scanning confocal microscopy, total internal reflection microscopy (TIRF), and a variety of wide-field microscopes for specialized applications. The Centre for Global Health Research (CGHR) is an independent, not-for-profit organization co-sponsored by St. Michael’s Hospital (Toronto) and the University of Toronto. Founded in 2002 on the principle that effective health initiatives must be supported by reliable, evidence-based research, CGHR was created to conduct large-scale epidemiological studies in developing countries. CGHR’s mission is to lead high-quality public health research that advances global health for all, with particular attention to the world’s poorest populations. Current projects at CGHR are designed to generate and disseminate evidence of the major causes of premature mortality among the global poor. Research areas include maternal and child health, tobacco control, health policy and economics, and gender inequalities. CGHR has offices in Toronto, Bangalore, and New Delhi. Funding is provided by grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the US National Institutes of Health, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, St. Michael’s Hospital, and the University of Toronto.

Centre For Water Resources Studies
The Centre for Water Resources Studies was established in 1981 by the Faculty of Engineering to address water issues facing Atlantic Canada through applied research. Continuing this tradition, the objective of the centre is to pool the research resources of Dalhousie University to address real challenges faced by the water community and provide a platform for the development and appropriate application of water technology; water quality analysis and advancement; and outreach through knowledge transfer to our stakeholders. The Centre has provided technical support to many government agencies, municipalities and private sector end-users in the water sector. The Centre has delivered value to its partners through technical research projects, analytical laboratory support and training workshops.
