International Alliance Of Mental Health Research Funders Iamhrf
We are changing the way we fund mental health research to increase impact of investments globally. International collaboration is needed to balance investments between projects that address the current burden of mental health challenges and those that are committed to long-term development of scientific knowledge, and potential cures. The IAMHRF is the only forum where mental health research funders from around the world can meet and discuss key topics, trends, and shared opportunities and challenges in the sector. By bringing global mental health research funders together, the IAMHRF facilitates knowledge sharing to avoid reinventing the wheel and speed up progress. With opportunities to interact with other countries and learn from each other, the alliance is breaking down silos and encouraging members to look at mental health issues from a global perspective. Starting with a handful of members in 2010, the alliance has grown to over 20 member organisations globally with deep knowledge of the mental health sector, research funding and policy, and health innovations. The Centre For Research And Innovation For Black Survivors Of Homicide Victims
Homicide violence disproportionately impacts Black people. The inordinate representation of Black homicide victims places already marginalized communities at great risk for compromised mental, physical and spiritual well being. Despite the prevalence of homicide violence in Black communities, research on the traumatic impact of murder on surviving family members and friends is limited. The scarcity of research on the experiences of Black survivors of homicide victims leaves researchers, policy makers, and practitioners with little evidence to develop culturally responsive evidenced-based interventions designed to support survivors as they bereave and grieve the murder of their loved one(s). The CRIB is a multidisciplinary social work research centre focused on using community-based methods and principles to advance research, policy and practice for Black survivors of homicide victims. We endeavor to lead this enterprise through the development of culturally responsive interventions, best practices and training for service providers and community based agencies.

Alberta Centre For Sustainable Rural Communities
The Alberta Centre for Sustainable Rural Communities (ACSRC) assists rural communities in meeting diverse challenges through fostering constructive dialogue, promoting interdisciplinary and collaborative research, and developing partnerships. The ACSRC is a joint-initiative of the Augustana Campus and Faculty of ALES, and has a core operating budget and staff supported by both of these faculties.
